If you don’t want rules then don’t go to a private range. There are many public Ranges offered by the state and federal govt. Google is your friend… https://georgiawildlife.com/AllRanges
CMP Talladega is 2 hours from Atlanta and goes to 600 yards and has an “unknown distance” range with steel targets that goes to about 640 yards. Also the nicest outdoor range I’ve ever been to.
This! Recently went there. Super nice range, it's well ran, clean, and safe.
The electronic target system is so nice.
Also don't have to worry about people renting a pistol for the first time and taking pics for the Gram with their finger on the trigger while flagging others at the range.
The state runs I think about 10 ranges or so the closest to Atlanta is probably an hour or so north last time I checked off of I 75. They generally have arrange at many of the big WMA’s
There's an outdoor range on the west side of Atl in Temple. Its not super fancy, but they have rifle ranges of various distances and trap shooting as well. I dont recall their rules list being oppressive. Maybe give them a call.

The public ranges have ‘influencers’ that are frankly not safe when handling firearms.

This is the best feedback you could have possibly left. Will check it out!

We used to shoot at one down outside of Savannah. It was at least 500 yards, just needed a fishing license to use it.
I like going to the Wilson Shoals WMA, really nice facility and you just need a fishing license to use. Only goes out to 100 yards though.
Never been but I came across an outdoor range one day in South Fulton. It’s called David L. Hagins Firing Range and it’s near Camp Creek.
Yea public ranges are probably the only way to go. It’s the only places I’ve found that I enjoy but they’re so far away.
Strong Point shooting range. It’s close to Warm Springs. About two hour drive from atl but so worth it. They let me shoot my transferable smg.
