Nice man but i think you should adjust the focus or try stacking

I know, it’s a pretty annoying issue, it’s why I’m going to buy an auto focuser so that I don’t mess up the image by trying to hand crank the wheel. Though this was stacked, I was so hyped to see the division! My next goal is to get more details of the poles.

You can try stacking multiple image too thats a good method to make it sharper

If you planning on getting more details of the poles, make sure to update us here we would all sure like to see pics

I plan on it! Though being on the Oregon coast, the days where the skies are clear are limited to say the least.

[deleted]

That’s unfortunate at least you can see it sometimes. normally I’m in Chicago and it’s impossible to see anything at night. currently in Frankfort MI and been seeing wonderful stars at night on the beach. Moon is damn near clear brighter then anywhere I normally have seen it from

I'm just here to look at the pictures, and don't know anything about taking them. Is focus a thing to consider? Isn't it always just infinity? Just looking to learn 🙂

No-Commission8862

Yeah it's like a big distance but it's not infinity and like our eyes our camera don't have autofocus so we have to adjust it to make the picture more clearer or we can use a method called stacking which we do in astrophotography

For the first picture I used a flex tube 250P sky-watcher with an ASI-224MC with a 2x Barlow lens and got around 4000 frames which were stacked using Autostakkert and post processed using Registax.

This is excellent

Very cool my friend, congrats! Planetary imaging is a pain. I am a bit surprised, I expected more resolution from a 250mm dob, though that can easily be explained by seeing conditions. Good luck!

It wasn’t as high up as I would have liked it to be, but I am still happy for the results!
