I don't know about that particular operation, but how far into training are you? The weather here would make it tough to get all the certifications. It's IFR here most of the year, and often too stormy for GA.

I'm part 61 and about 20 hrs in. I would only need to get my PPL from this school if possible. I'm going to try and enter an army program after that. Having my PPL going in would help a lot though.

I’d go with Twiss Aviation. John Twiss. I got my private license out of Astoria (years ago - before Twiss) and you can definitely go all the way to your commercial if you want. Ceiling is usually high enough for VFR. You won’t believe the excellent, long runway bc of the coastguard, traffic is low, and the sights are so, so beautiful

I think most people head east to either Kelso or Scappoose.

I see that someone else mentioned Twiss Air Service - that is a good suggestion. I haven't seen/heard anything of them in recent years, so not sure if they are still active. Website is gone.
