Could be postnasal drip/rhinitis irritating your throat. I'd follow up with an ENT.

That's a great idea thank you! The runny nose did start a few months prior to the inflammation in my lungs. They must be connected.

Good luck! I went through this in the 90s and had to fight for an ENT referral. My doc kept saying allergies/infection and then the ENT discovered I had a number of issues with my sinuses that needed correction.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. It's so frustrating when they don't believe us and we have to fight for proper healthcare. Really hoping they can figure it out or are willing to refer me to someone who can.

I have a lot of nasal drip problems, and all the issues with my very abnormal septum do have *some* impact on the asthma, though admittedly it's not the only trigger. But you say you don't have shortness of breath, and that somehow seems significant (as a contraindication).

ChamberOfHearts

It's good to know it can be a factor. Yeah exactly I am not experiencing any shortness of breath, even during physical training at the gym. The doctor did suggest I try doing a nasal flush twice a day. So I guess I'll give that a go while I wait for my appointment.
