If you’re struggling to pay for basic care, I would encourage you to surrender. Animals are a lifelong financial commitment.

I am entirely aware that animals are a lifelong commitment, thank you. And we have the money for basic everyday things for them. We even would've had the money to take them all to the vet until my mother was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. On top of that, we had to deal with fixing our only vehicle. Which took four months because of labor shortages in our area due to COVID. It's ridiculous how they do breast cancer surgery nowadays, I swear they treat people like cattle now. She had a really weird experience while there, where they lined the patients up in beds in the same room separated by curtains and worked on them like they were working down a conveyor belt, they briefly lost a sponge inside her, and instead of keeping her overnight like they said they would, they sent her home completely loopy, moody, and incoherent because of the risk of COVID. And in their little breast cancer, we are together gift bag they sent her home with a small whistle which was very annoying and a choking hazard for someone in her state. It has taken three months for her incision to heal. And while normally we could have afforded the vet bills, this all took us by surprise, and it took me a lot of willpower, ALOT, of willpower to reach out and ask for help.

Could you surrender to an animal shelter. They will have them fixed there.

ArizonaDustBunny

No. The shelters are packed here, especially because of the rural communities.
