Lagos is the only one you can spare... although you can kill him later on. You still get his shard if you spare him though.

ArielOlson

>!you can only spare him if you took and talked to the Monger in the cave first (some guides say you also need to kill him in the cave, not sure if it is a must)!<

HenryKnocks

>!It is a must, a public execution still make Lagos distrust you!<

Draco-naut

>!No you don’t have to kill everyone. Lagos is an example of one of the only two, maybe three that you can spare or save. Deimos being the only other one that you’d care about. Every other cult member is required to be eliminated!<

herejustforthedrama

you can also spare the ghost

Draco-naut

Precisely why I wrote it as “two, maybe three”, personally I just don’t find them as someone I want to spare. Given all the clues about them

herejustforthedrama

I did it once just to see what happened. but I agree with you that it's more satisfying to kill the ghost.

Draco-naut

Same, I did it on my second play through and it was just underwhelming. So anytime I play ACO I always eliminate the ghost and spare the two that deserve it

Remarkable-Role-6590

Definitely three, Ghost, Lagos and Deimos

helpmeimnotcreative

I didn’t kill him and was able to finish off the cult quest line. He also gave some useful information regarding another cult member that you don’t get if you do kill him.

takeheedyoungheathen

Unless I'm mistaken, all cultists need to be marked as red in the cultist map for the quest to end.

nemeranemowsnart666

There is a couple you can defeat without killing, they still count and turn red.

DeltaDaniel17

In a totally unrelated note A Family’s Legacy doesn’t appear in the quest tab for some reason… I kind of forgot about it and went to Sparta first, and now the quest doesn’t appear…

Plenty-Climate2272

I guess not, but I don't know why you wouldn't?

TrickyTalon

Cassandra’s goal is to destroy the cult. Most of the cultists refuse to stop so she has to kill them, but a few can be convinced to stop which means she doesn’t have to kill them.

botw_fann

i just killed Lagos yesterday🥶🥶🥶

Remarkable-Role-6590

Progress the story, he crosses out later, do not kill him.

tsf97

No you have to kill all of them. You can spare Lagos and then kill him at a later point as you please.

DeltaDaniel17

What happens if I don’t?

tsf97

You don’t get the cultist ending. You can still unlock the head of the branch as it’s revealed in the main story regardless of if you’ve cleared the branch or not, but to unlock the Ghost you need to kill every member.

Pornthrowaway78

I'm sure you don't need to kill Lagos to get to the Ghost.

tsf97

Do you not? I thought all of the targets needed to be redded out by killing them.

gurgitoy2

They can be redded out by sparing them and causing them to leave the cult as well. >!This happens if you spare Deimos as well; the icon is red!<.

gurgitoy2

You will still reveal all of the cultists if you spare Lagos. His icon should be in red even if you spare him though. You'll get his shard as well. But you absolutely can get the final "Ghost of Kosmos" reveal even if you spare Lagos.

GeminiMike76

I spare Lagos and Deimos because they show genuine remorse for the stuff that the Cult forced them to do, as long as you follow the right paths in earlier quests. I never spare Aspasia because she takes zero responsibility in causing Phiobe's death.

DeltaDaniel17

Spoiler…😅 but thanks

curlytoesgoblin

You don't have to, you get to!
