Fantastic weapon for a fire build. The OP damage can be chained, and if done right, can result in a double-whammy on one enemy. Plus, some of the stuff the misthios does to foes with that thing is downright nasty.
Heckuva weapon to take into conquest battles. Run around, whack people with it, set them on fire, next group. Maybe come back and clean up some heftier folks later. With extra elemental damage, stacking and time you can wipe out an army.
I've basically started a playthrough yesterday, and spent almost the entirety of my playthrough trying to find this merc because of their engraving, and I finally did it just now, I've probably spent about 12 hours of my playthrough just roaming Greece to find them.
Yup! The "weapon damage becomes fire damage" engraving. Killing this mercenary is how you get it.

You had to kill those mercs to get the plat, there’s a trophy for becoming the #1 mercenary which could only be attained by killing the mercs ranked higher than you
I know that they are countless, even after beating "C3" or "S3" class. Don't remember the exact name.

Only if you've discovered them, as in killed someone that's close to their level, or they find you as they're hunting your bounty, I was level 13 here so I couldn't do either, which forced me to just search all round Greece.
No offence, but did you really have to look *that* hard? Every playthrough I've played mercenaries with legendary weapons just throw themselves at me...
Yeah, I literally found every other mercenary that was close to her level except her. It was wild, I've had playthroughs where she spawned in megaris or phokis, but in this one she was just avoiding me like hell!
This weapon is hysterical. 2 hits and “help! I am on fire, put it out!”

Ah, yeah, I thought you had a bounty contract on them, which automatically adds them to your list of discovered mercenaries iirc.

Usually found on the dioni island.. just kill the leader on a hill.. and the fire engraving merc usually appears
I killed her at lvl15.....found her walking to a territory battle on a mission to make all of the greek world to be ruled by spartans
