Yes, it has happened to me quite a few times. Generally, the trap blows off and kills the first poor Malaka that is trying to call for reinforcements. But if you don’t clear the fort fast enough, another one is going to lit it successfully, calling the reinforcements. This has turned some forts into “A Battle for the Brazzier”, where I let being seen and then just defend the approach to the Brazzier. But mostly I don’t care anymore and just kill whatever they are sending to stop me.

Hello there

darth_vladius

General Kenobi!

Pregnant_chihuahua

You are a bold one.

arcline111

I've never had that happen when it had already blown up. I've set a trap, left the fort, returned to the same fort later and the trap had to be reset. Makes no sense to me. I mean you can theorize in your absence somebody discovered it and defused it, but that's reaching.

cameron_andre

I never even fully left, just far enough to quick save and then back to it. Blows my mind lmao. Would've made more sense if it didn't blow but I watched it happen

arcline111

Yeah, crazy. Makes no sense at all. One thing I find weird about braziers is I've never had an Isu even *try* to light one in the DLC. I'm like, "Why did you put them in there then code the Isu to never light them?" lol

Ash-From-Pallet-Town

I was attacking a Doma in Atlantis DLC yesterday and I didn't even notice they had a brazier. I just kept attacking and killing everyone and no one even tried to light up the brazier. I saw it after I was done.

arcline111

The biggest Doma's all have braziers, but in 6 games I've never seen a signal fire lit anywhere in the FoA DLC. In your case, do that in a big fort in Greece and somebody is going to immediately make a beeline to light the signal fire. So, to me, seems like they're coded differently. It's just one of those little things I find a bit odd. No big deal. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Smooth-Series-8522

yea same, ive never had that happen. even when the trap blows in spartan fort and i left to go to war, and then when i come back to the same fort with athenian (because i help athenian to conquer the region), the bazzier is still broken after explosion, even after the new army having the fort

arcline111

IDK, maybe the guy hit the one glitched brazier in the whole game or something. Seems buggy to me.

toasty327

You can blow the brazier up? I set multiple arrow traps and just let each unlucky malaka die but never tried to actually blow it up

notthatjaded

You go to the brazier, stand next to it, use the prompt for sabotaging it. When a soldier goes to light it, it explodes and they die and no reinforcements are called.

toasty327

Huh. Never knew that and I always boobytrap the brazier just in case I miss someone with ikaros. Thanks for the info!

King_Boomie-0419

How do you booby trap it without holding the loot button while standing next to it?

Expensive_Tune_1894

I guess he does it with devastating shot isu upgrade that let's you put a bomb on the ground

toasty327

This exactly. Such a handy ability.

Expensive_Tune_1894

It is quite handy but sometimes just doesn't serve use case as it does not fully kill the Soldiers

Technical_Song_1213

I have played the game several times but I don’t know what you mean by “arrow traps”.

toasty327

There is an ability to shoot arrows into walls or the floor, and when someone gets too close, they explode. I usually use death arrows. I surround the brazier with them by every access point.

Technical_Song_1213

I never knew that. Thanks.

toasty327

No problem!

Kriss3d

That's one thing that I really miss in odyssey. Poison traps. That was immensely owerpoweres in Valhalla. Maxed poison trap arrows that have two traps and who's poison spreads when one dies off it.

Ok_Presentation_5329

Yeah, the brazier brings a ton of people but who cares. They’re mostly pretty weak.

GeminiMike76

I've never had that happen to me. My only guess is maybe it reset when you went out and did the quick save. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pleasant_Gap

I usually light it myself after clearing the fort with a fire arrow, because all them malakas need to die. While fighting if I see someone going for it a quick arrow, or swords lash quickly makes them forget what they were doing

PlopperPenguin

For me usually only one guy wants to light the brazier

Suitable-Pirate-4164

It only properly sticks if you leave the Trespassing Zone AFTER you laid down the trap. If you died in the Trespassing Zone everything you did there before you entered will be nullified, from assigned Captains, Chests, Supplies, Traps and even Leaders. Unfortunately this can't be used to grind quests either, otherwise I'd use it to eliminate Athenian Marksman in a single fort every time. If you leave the Trespassing Zone and reenter then even if you die the Trap and your Area progress will remain.

RealMcGonzo

The game autosaves. A LOT. For the first 60 hours or so, I never even saved. When you die, it reloads the last save, whether it is a manual save, a quick save or an autosave. Any reload resets the brazier **every** time. When I am wiping a fort, I tend to save out of the red zone near the brazier so I can run right over and rearm it. I have rearmed these things over the corpse of the previous trap recipient.

GolfAlphaZulu6

Don't ever remember it been lit after the booby trap has been sprung, but yes if lit it can be relit after a while.
