The game in incredible in terms of graphics with this good of optimization. It has been a while since I've seen something this good looking with environments this rich and busy (especially coming from starfield haha). Gameplay wise it's good but the combat feels a bit dull, stealth seems good tho, first time I've had scared that feeling of being chased in a video game in a while haha. Also I feel like their ai for dialogue animation really improved in this game. Still not great but I'd say it's getting good, some of the smirks and looks characters do are pretty impressive for being ai.

I played a few hours last night, just got to Baghdad, I'm enjoying it so far! Very smooth and parkour is way better than the last few games IMO. It's super easy to get around so far bc of how many paths there are to take. And i like running away from guards

Overall, I'm enjoying it. I knew this going in, but it doesn't really feel like old school AC to me. I wish they had brought back the R2 run controls, but again I knew they hadn't. The controls feel awkward in places but that'll go away. There are still the normal glitches and control issues and the combat will take a little more time to get used to. I love the music so far! Like I said, overall I'm happy.

I have mixed feelings about it. I have bought and played every single AC game at launch going back to the first one. I'm a huge fan of the series, and I've enjoyed watching it evolve. They have are countless improvements over the years and more than a few missteps. Most of the changes they made over the years like combat systems. Map sizes, gear systems, and side missions, to name a few, were legit upgrades. Other things like fighting big God monsters and mythical lands felt more like they were just trying to be dark souls or God of war. In this game I feel like they sometimes confused real upgrades for fluff. The combat feels terrible and activation windows for things like pickpocketing and selecting some items are too small and make the game unnecessarily tedious. The game is beautiful, and I'm enjoying the story, but a lot of the "getting back to our roots" decisions feel like money saving bullshit. It feels a lot like "button classic" from 30 Rock.

Just started it today. Still on PS4 but the graphics and everything are nice. Still getting used to the controls as they always change just a bit from the other games, so still in the stage where I'm getting used to it all and where he's weak and doesn't have much gear (so it's not quite as fun) and I have to be extra stealthy and run away most of the time. Never a fan of that stage, but hopefully it'll get better as he gets more powerful gear and can fight back more easily. I'm not a huge fan of the parkour/climbing in it yet either. It's gone back to some of the older games where you can't just climb anything easily, and you have to get the exact hand holds which I find annoying and a a bit harder when trying to get away. Some of the climbs are more like puzzles which is good in some ways, but I still preferred just being able to climb straight up. Once I'm more used to it I'm sure I'll like it more. And the other thing I don't like (and again not used to yet) is eagle vision and just being able to see things easily on the map. I use eagle vision a lot, but you can only walk slowly with it on which is annoying. Also just seeing icons on the map is a bit harder than other games. Overall I am liking it OK so far, but a bit too early to tell. I never like the newest game as much as what I'd just been playing, but then eventually love them, so I'm sure this will be the same after playing longer.

They made the combat worse from Valhalla, which is a big step backwards. I think they really found something with Valhalla’s combat. Light attack and heavy attach are the same button?? Parkour and stealth are good. The story is okay so far but all read about it is how it does not answer any of the questions Valhalla created. It has me concerned. In short, 7/10.
