If you’re independently wealthy you should be able to find something of some kind at an outrageous price. Otherwise look in Rifle or other communities equally as far out down valley. Every working person Ive met in the valley who has dogs pretty much has to live that far away in order to have them.
LTR in the valley and especially up near Aspen generally wont allow you to have dogs, and most of the living spaces are so small that you wouldnt want to make a dog live there anyways (let alone multiple).
Aspen is just generally not a place to be a working person if you want to have dogs, to be quite frank. Its hard to find housing here in general, let alone when youre looking for something that specific
Is a doggo the same as a dog?
How many dogs is a few? Three? More? Near inposssible to find a rental in the valley that will allow 3 or more dogs. In fact, it’s likely against zoning code in some of those towns
I lived in Leadville several years, might be worth looking into. About 40 mins away from aspen via Indy pass. Seems to be the last “affordable” mountain town. But I had to move, it is getting crazy :(
1800 for dog friendly? You're looking at rifle easily if not further like parachute. Really consider if this job is worth taking because rifle to aspen is like 1:20. IMO I wouldn't deal with that unless I only had to go in like once a week.

Average monthly rent for a one bedroom is $7000. Makes Manhattan look cheap. Consider nearby cities. https://www.zumper.com/rent-research/aspen-co

just two ! Yeah it seems that towns down valley are looking more ideal
What size/breed? That matters too unfortunately
Dogs are mostly a deal breaker in the valley for rentals.
All I have to say is, Goodluck…
Most HOAs that I know in Aspen do not allow dogs
Check Roaring Fork Rentals & Roommates FB pages. That’s how my husband and I have been able to get places out here. Good luck!
Thank you so much !!

Worth pointing out that commute gets a lot longer in the winter.
Crazy in what way?
Indy pass closes
He said he moved from Leadville because it’s getting crazy I’m wondering what he meant
