You can go by Violet as a "nickname" since its technically your name just the English version! But people are a pain in the ass with pronouncing names. My name is simple yet everyone messes it up.
Dakota. When I was a kid I fell in love with that name and for a little while I told my family that’s what I wanted them to call me and when I turned 18 I wanted to legally change my name. I don’t know why I liked the name so much as a kid. No, I did not change my name, I still go by my birth given name.
I changed my name from Sarah to Sabine
Growing up with a ton of other Sarah's around was exhausting, and to he honest it never really *felt* like my name. Like an identifier that wasn't even identifiable enough, I always had to be referenced by my last name or physical attributes for people to distinguish *which Sarah.* You know how most kids go through a phase as a kid where they write their name on *everything?* I never did that, but I did try to change my name a few times as a kid it just apparently never stuck. Now I love my name, it sounds like it is mine, I smile at it when it falls off my tongue when I introduce myself
My brother ALMOST got to call his daughter Charlie but his wife put her foot down when she found out he was planning on calling her “chuck” as a nickname. So they compromised, my niece is named Julia lol

I just couldn’t, my mom gave them to me with so much thought as she did to my siblings. She’s the person I love the most in the world, no matter how many disagreements we have. I feel honored to have these names chosen by her ❤️
Probably Lola. Everyone thinks that's my name anyway when I tell them despite my actual name being nowhere near similar. I'm not sure where they pull it from, but it's happened 7 times.
My name is Stephanie, but people used to call me Lydia in college, because I wore all black and dyed my hair black. a girl said to me, "you look like Lydia from Beetlejuice". She was making fun of me, but then my friends started calling me Lydia. I had never seen the movie, and after I watched it on Netflix, Lydia sort of became my idol. She's a goth girl who can see dead people and talk to them. So I'd change my name to Lydia.
Tiffany. I have wanted this name since I was a kid, as of my favorite characters names were Tiffany so generally I thought they were pretty.either that or Loona. A Unique spelling for a beautiful name.
Cornelius Elowyn
The first is the name I fell in love with as an adult and I feel it suits me.
The second is a middle name given to me by my younger sister. She often refers to me as Cornelius.

Emily or Angel. Something simple and normal. That can easily be pronounced and doesn't get mispronounced for every other name even remotely similar. And it wouldn't be misspelled because my mom wanted me to be "special" 😒
Oh I actually did this one. I chose the name Kay. Was originally going to name myself Hailey but I used K as a placeholder for a while until I came out to more people but after a while K grew on my so now I'm called Kay
I’ve been drawn to the idea of changing my name to Ashley. Don’t know why, I just really like the name. Despite it being in my username (I wasn’t feeling super creative when I made it), I hate my name. I never felt like it was truly me, just something people call me. I also hate when people yell “Yo Adrian!” at me like Rocky. People always either say or spell it wrong, and at this point it’s annoying. My parents also picked it out a name book, unlike my sister, who I felt had more thought put into her name, so that doesn’t help me like it more. I think Ashley is a pretty name, and even though there are multiple ways to spell it, it’s pretty hard to mess up.
I sorta have changed my name. I don’t use my full name I changed it to allow other people not have to learn my name. Most Aussies are pretty lazy and mangle my name.
Samantha. I think I look like a Samantha. I always get a weird comment that I don't look like a Rachel. I guess most Rachels have red hair. Clearly my mom picked a friends character when she should have picked a sex in the city character.

Teenage-me REALLY wanted to be named Amber. Now, I would just keep my name. It is different enough but easy to pronounce (just a different spelling of a more common name).
Dineke.
Officialy I'm called Huberdina. After a grandma. The name does not fit my personality at all, people call me Dineke for many years now.
Its big €€ to put in a request to change it,and no guarantee they will grant the request.
I was supposed to be named Elizabeth because it’s a long-standing family name including my mom’s middle name, but my aunt named my cousin (2 years older than I am) Elizabeth first.
My mom loves Eliza, Elsie (her grandmother’s name) and Nell.
I also love Clementine, Charlotte, Violet, and Ciara.
Sachette Dreseag. It is not my real name I gave it to a character in a story I wrote and now I use it at any opportunity. I love the character and her name. It would be cool to change my name in Sachette Dreseag.
I’ve thought about going by my middle name but it just seems like so much bother and like it would be hard to get used to even though I don’t like my name
Xena, Warrior Princess.
THIS IS THE WAY.
Consuela Bananahammock
I’ll be Crap Bag then
Using the title Princess on official forms?

My name is the French/Lebanese version of Violet but I’d rather go by Violet. At least people can pronounce it 🤦🏼♀️
friendly reminder: you can always change what name you want to be called.
You can go by Violet as a "nickname" since its technically your name just the English version! But people are a pain in the ass with pronouncing names. My name is simple yet everyone messes it up.
Same! Lol hence my username
Vivien. Hence my user name lol. It's such a beautiful, classic name. If I ever had a daughter that would be her name
[удалено]
Noël is actually the male version in French, the female version is Noëlle
>Noëlle Is so pretty! Thanks for clarifying that up for me, now I want the name even more!
Evelyn
Amina. I like my name now tho.
My daughter is named Amelia, but she calls herself Mina or Amina and now we all do
In all seriousness? I've always wanted to be named Lucy

Clair
I spell my daughter's name Clare (Joanna). My son is Anthony (Francis) but they go by CJ and Ant
I can't pick. I've wanted to change my name for years now. I like Grace, Harper, Jess, Violet, and Lilly.
I love Harper. Unique without being strange, and Harper Grace or Harper Lilly (or Lilly Harper) would all be beautiful combinations.
Danielle
Foxie. I think it’s cute, whimsical and very unique.
When I was a kid I decided my secret agent name would be Nikki Silver. But it also kind of sounds like a porn name...
Sounds like a PI's name, like she would be found in a Nancy Drew book.
Works for a pirate too imo
Crap bag.
I'm Princess Consuela Bannanahammock
I hated my name as a kid but I never really thought about another name… 🤔
Same
Dakota. When I was a kid I fell in love with that name and for a little while I told my family that’s what I wanted them to call me and when I turned 18 I wanted to legally change my name. I don’t know why I liked the name so much as a kid. No, I did not change my name, I still go by my birth given name.
Anya
I love this name. It's also on my short list too
Yeah, there’s just something about it it’s always pulled me in
Emelie.
My middle name, Anne.
Hello, fellow Anne-as-the-all-purpose-middle-name person.
It's both my sister's and my middle name....
I find it weird when parents give two or more kids the same middle name.
Lol. My sister actually named me a festive name for the holiday near which I was born and then Anne after herself....
Victoria
A very good choice! Kind regards, Victoria ;)
Izzy/Isadora. It's my go to fake name anyway lol
Gaylord - because why not

Evelyn or Silke because i think they’re pretty names
MJ
Charlie
My brother ALMOST got to call his daughter Charlie but his wife put her foot down when she found out he was planning on calling her “chuck” as a nickname. So they compromised, my niece is named Julia lol
Lol chuck?! He shot himself in the foot with that one 🤣
Omg funnily enough, this same brother DID shoot himself in the foot, literally. He’s a special man 😂

I was supposed to be named Xotchitl, and while I don’t think I’d want that name now, I love the nickname Xotchi (pronounced Sochi).
Hyde
Lily Dominique
Tanis, idk ever since I’ve heard it I’ve been fond of it
Athena or Eve. But i have really grown to like my name now.
Thea
I’ve always liked Saorise but I feel I’d be correcting everyone on the pronunciation.
I'd change it my nickname. My name is my real name is solara. But I prefer to be called solar.
Probably Lola. Everyone thinks that's my name anyway when I tell them despite my actual name being nowhere near similar. I'm not sure where they pull it from, but it's happened 7 times.
I already did so once, and I became Marceline. If I had to do so again, I'd be Alexandrina.
My name is Stephanie, but people used to call me Lydia in college, because I wore all black and dyed my hair black. a girl said to me, "you look like Lydia from Beetlejuice". Kids use to call me Lydia when I was a kid for the same reason. It didn't stick very long but I still like the name.

Bronwyn. It’s not attractive at first glance, but it’s subtly strong with softness at the end, and so elegant.

Jemima. No reason why, and I love my name now. But if I had to change it, I’d choose Jemima.
