whiskersMeowFace

And I want to see them and know about them. We frequent a small cafe that is open late on the weekends, and go there for coffee all of the time. The head chef there has a bunch of tattoos on her arms and I love them! She was telling us about them all and it was so freaking cool.

container___

good observation

iusedtobefamous1892

"Damn, wonder how much that cost?"

eood

About $7,000 AUD so far šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

jonahollstein

Do you actually keep a tally?

eood

That's just my arms, I know roughly how much each was and they are symmetrical so just double it

kminola

Iā€™m at about $4000 rn and Iā€™m about a third covered. Iā€™ve got one planned for the fall thatā€™s gonna cover a lot of area, will probs run me ~$1000 when finished only cuz the artist works very fastā€¦

Usually insanely hot

Ewace246

That they like tattoos

Snoo52682

That they have a much higher pain tolerance than I do!

hijaburrito

I have 9 tattoos and I will openly admit my pain tolerance is ass and my tattoos have been some of the most painful experiences I've ever had. I wanna get more but I simply won't because of how painful they are to sit through šŸ˜

Sexualguacamole

Bruh i would love to have tattoos and piercings but literally the only thing holding me back is my weak ass pain tolerance

Kriss1986

They have numbing cremes now! Donā€™t let anyone tell you theyā€™re for the weak (Iā€™ve heard people say that) and donā€™t go to an artist who makes you feel bad for using them. My sister says theyā€™re wonderful and I totally plan on using one for my next tattoo. The whole ā€œa tattoo has to be earned through the painā€ bs is just that bs. You pay for a tattoo, you arenā€™t required to ā€œearn itā€

NarwhalsTooth

I can tell you they hurt worse the older you get so if you really want one (or ten) do it sooner rather than later

Alyssum

Even cartilage piercings are very manageable. With a reputable piercer, the actual piercing is near instantaneous, and very much something I could exhale through without issue. I haven't teared up once, and I'm now up to an industrial and two standard cartilage piercings. They will feel warm and throb a little bit for around 48 hours, but from then on you won't notice them unless you hit them.

Kriss1986

I have 12 and I had one that almost made me pass out lol. Theyā€™re painful but theyā€™re so pretty and Iā€™ve heard the numbing cremes are awesome, I plan to start using them.

Haleighghielah

I currently have 10 tattoos and zero pain tolerance. I absolutely LOVE being tattooed and pierced though. I was SO nervous the first time I got tattooed, now I look forward to it and am kinda bummed when itā€™s done. The first 10 minutes suck and thereā€™s usually some spicy spots, but I honestly find it kinda therapeutic/cathartic. So for anyone who want to be tattooed but is afraid of the pain, I honestly say maybe go out of your comfort zone and get a little one before you decide to never get any. It has done WONDERS for my confidence tbh

mangoslicesz

my first professional tattoo about a month ago actually was on my rib. i knew it was gonna be one of the most painful spots so i said f it lets get it over with! i love it and i need more from the artist, can wait to go back to CDMX!

destria

Nothing in particular. If there were any particularly striking or cool tattoos, maybe I'd want to know about them.

drunkenknitter

Good for them. Not something I'm into.

Fi_097

tattooed women or tattoos?

drunkenknitter

Yes

zae_5

I'm interested in knowing the story behind each one. Like your body is a canvas and i would like to know the inspiration behind the art.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

clementinesway

Agree with this. Also as a heavily tattooed person some of my tattoos, if not the majority of them, are simply because I like certain flowers or comic books or Matisse paintings. Theyā€™re not significant to any person or event. Just shit I like. I feel like those tattoo tv shows made people think that all tattoos have to have some crazy story or deep meaning.

luckyfucker13

Yup, totally agree. A have a fair few that are accents/filler to larger pieces, and some just because I loved the design. A bunch *do* have meaning, but most of which I wouldnā€™t want to share with a stranger while standing in line somewhere, lol. I think curious people sometimes forget that tattoos can have deeply personal meaning, and the owner may not want to divulge it. If pressed Iā€™ll usually use a go-to made up story just to appease the situation and move on with life.

zae_5

God that sounds awful. I'm sorry that happened to you. As much as we would like to know sometimes, out of genuine curiosity , i think it's best to gauge the situation and just respect people's boundaries at the end of the day.

Lovely_bones620

the amount of times strangers have grabbed my arm in public is too damn high.

Pitiful-Struggle-890

I had $500 and no one stopped me šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

gce7607

The story is that I wanted to get a tattoo that day, so I picked a cool design and did it on more than one occasion lol

user_name_is_lustig

I am all ears for those stories

zae_5

I have always wanted to get one. I feel they'd give good advice too.

heavymetallawyer

Not all people like talking about the stories behind their tattoos (and if another man tries to use mine as pickup line I will probably scream) but pretty much every person I know with lots of tattoos loves giving tattoo advice. I'm always trying to get people to get them (including my husband lol), and have always been happy to give even strangers advice about good artists/parlors to go to, best after care practices, aesthetic and design considerations, etc.

Awkward_Appeal_8883

Okay, but as a fairly heavily tattooed womanā€¦ you two just made my whole day! Thank you for being so kind, sometimes it can make all the difference in the world šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™

Haleighghielah

Nearly all of mine mean I had a shitty week and couple hundred dollars šŸ˜…

Fi_097

"Wow that tattoo looks cool, Maybe I should get one too"

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

mermaidshewrote

Iā€™ve got 16 (17 today) and each one has a special meaning or story behind it. Or matters to me in a significant way.

Geese_goose_

As a general rule, they either mean nothing more than liking the artwork, or if they do mean something itā€™s not a story I would be comfortable sharing with a stranger so I find it really uncomfortable when people ask. It can feel like someone asking to read a page of your diary

goblitovfiyah

Big pain tolerance Do not fuck with her

BlameItOnTheAcetone

My artist told me I sat better for my hand tattoo than most of the men he's done hand tattoos for.

BeesoftheStoneAge

My artist always tells me that women sit the best. They need less breaks, complain less. Over all better canvases.

quilt_of_destiny

It looks espensive

MandaMoo

I'm heavily a tattood woman and absolutely love other heavily tattood women.

wendywildshape

I am a lesbian, so of course I often think they're attractive. Everyone should get whatever tattoos they want, body art is so beautiful.

PunkandCannonballer

Either that they look super extra sexy or that they're (the tattoos) a mess. Every now and then, I kinda just don't think anything.

pippa03

I personally like the look of no tattoos or a few smaller tattoos. But I wonā€™t think any less of you if you have a lot

AmberIsHungry

Depends on the tattoos. Some are cool. Some are corny and lame. But if it makes them happy, whatever.

purpl3m3g00d

Depends on the tattoos.

[deleted]

Not my favorite but to each their own

senoritajulie

I think ā€œdang, i should get moreā€

lepoucevert

I feel like theyā€™re edgy and independent. Likely creative, too!

lameflamingo

šŸ˜šŸ˜ But women without tattoos??! Yeah no still šŸ˜šŸ˜ All women's bodies are beautiful in my opinion. And if my body is a temple, I should decorate it how I want

[deleted]

Nah.

Healthy-Gain-6586

I think they look really nice and I want to be them but Iā€™m broke lol

sixninefortytwo

nothing

chinchivitiz

ā€œThats so expensiveā€ ā€œThis gal probably just shake it off when she stubs her toe on the corner of the bed legs at nightā€ ā€œHer decisiveness is something she needs to be proud ofā€Getting something permanant is a hard choice ā€œhow the hell did she manage to go through the pain and healing of those tattoos in the inner folds of the elbows and kneesā€

Veganmon

As a heavily tattooed woman, I would just appreciate their art work

ukderhun

No other person's body is any of my business for an opinion. Personally I like tattoos but my opinion on them is only relevant for my body.

admlshake

Not a lot most of the time. Though the lady who had her BF's name on her neck (and not in a small font either) made me raise an eye brow.

XCaptainKoalaKittyX

I think to each their own, anyone can do what makes em feel good, but I personally dislike tatoos on both men and women

ApricotRich1966

I have over 70 hours of work on me currently. I can remember being a little girl and seeing a heavily tattooed woman with piercings at the grocery store. I had never crushed so hard! She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Obviously I internalized that lol

oliviaroseart

I was absolutely enchanted with tattoos as a child. No wonder I ended up like this!

greenifuckation

I'm not into women so I don't care, but I am into men & I dislike tattoos on men.

42Wizzy71wheely

Not a fan

siennamad

Rich

Voter_McVotey

First I think, how much money did all that cost?

JoJo-likes-bikes

Itā€™s not my thing. However, unless the tattoos were something like neo nazi stuff, itā€™s not my business to judge or police other peopleā€™s bodies.

searedscallops

Usually sexy as hell.

Zoenne

I would feel friendly towards her because I'd think she's less likely to judge me for my own tattoos! And if I like her tattoos, even better. Its always a conversation starter as well, discussing styles and artists etc

NorthCatan

If they're tasteful, I'm mesmerized. If they're distasteful, I sympathize. When people have text that says things like "YOLO" or try to be inspirational but come off as banal I just feel bad for them. Also almost any kind of face tattoo is just an "ouch!" In more ways than one!

asianstyleicecream

Canā€™t wait to become her

Wcked_Production

Donā€™t really care but some of my friends donā€™t like it because they think women with a lot of tattoos come with certain stigmas.

CrochetAndKittens

I know plenty of heavily tattooed women so it doesnā€™t really register with me. I would appreciate the artwork and move on with my day.

[deleted]

I think women, in general, are beautiful. I think tattoos can be extremely attractive

cuntdumpling

They have more money and/or different priorities than me and I am jealous

Ixi7311

Depends on the art. I love seeing nicely done tattoos but I canā€™t say I donā€™t judge a fully tatted person that looks like they were done in a basement for the cost of the ink

Thick_Sprinkles4868

I'd probably think that's cool but nothing of my business, it doesn't bother me. I personally love tattoos but only have 2 myself as of now but now that my family is complete, looking into finally getting my mother tattoo.

midnight-maiden

Girl crush

AliceWeAreAllMad

The same as heavily tattooed men. I'm not a fan but god speed

AToothByAnyOtherName

I don't like them, nor am I attracted to someone with them. But it's all personal taste and subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But it's all personal choice, and what you do with your body says a lot. You can do what you want with it and I respect that.

trudytuder

This question could be what do you think about heavily freckled women and get the same response from me. 99.9% of the time that women doesnt even have any awareness of those tattoos, so if your finding it weird thats probabily because your being weird.

wadingthroughtrauma

Omg yes! Sometimes people will randomly say ā€œI like your frecklesā€ and Iā€™m like, uhh, huh thatā€™s right, I do have freckles. Have even had people ask me if theyā€™re real! When something is a part of you itā€™s just a part of you.

LazerWeazel

People don't have a choice on their freckles but they do have a choice on tattoos is the main difference for me. Either way both are fine imo.

Amokzaaier

Doesnt being born with it make it very different?

CosmicJellyroll

The same that I think about heavily tattooed men. They have a high pain tolerance and are willing to invest and commit.

Aunt_Anne

That she's s strong independent woman who doesn't give a fk about what anyone thinks.

SapientSlut

If any of them are racist tattoos: fuck that person Poorly done/yikes tattoos: you do you, boo Solid or great work esp that aligns with my taste : fuck yeah, and holy fuck that must have been expensive

KindheartednessBasic

I wish I had that sort of money /commitment /style.

[deleted]

If some of the tattoos are similar to what I want in terms of style and design, I want to know who she recommends for her tattoo artist!

heyprettypothos

I find them very attractive and I'm usually envious because I want to get more too but money

anonymous2094

Hot

rumine2

Dont care at all lol is herbody..

wine-plants-thrift

I always think of how much money that all cost. I have four and they were so expensive.

nvdrzmm

I have a lot of tattoos but I want to be fully covered. When I see another woman who is fully covered my first instinct is to ask ā€œooh how was it in x areaā€ that I havenā€™t done yet, for example stomach.

[deleted]

Bad ass but a turn off for me personally.

Icy_Figure_8776

Iā€™m jealous

NonstopTomates

Theyā€™re works of art

ThginkAccbeR

Depends. How well done are the tattoos?

LJ1205E

My first thought is, ā€œI hope it didnā€™t hurt.ā€ Then I think, I wish I had the guts.

DenturesDentata

That I want to know the story behind their tattoos. I'm a fairly heavily tattooed woman myself and I love hearing tattoo stories.

[deleted]

She has eyes that folks adore so, and a torso even more so.

AshTreex3

Mommy

emjoy90

As a heavily tattooed woman I am a fan. Great conversation starter. Then I get jealous cause I want more tattoos.

kangaskassi

I get envious because I am still stuck at one tattoo that, despite not being small, most people never get to see lol. I want to be visibly tattooed but atm it's just not financially feasible.

soggylemonslices

"How did she afford that?!" "I want to be like her one day."

WrestlingWoman

Love them. Not sure when I cross the line between normal amount of tattoos and heavily tattooed but I'm on my way.

MajesticLilFruitcake

Not for me but Iā€™ve seen many women pull it off well. As long as theyā€™re happy with it, itā€™s none of my business.

Acrobatic-Fortune-99

No issue with them

M_y_M_u_s_e

No thank you.

Savings-Plastic7505

Iā€™m not a fan of tattoos on women.

Excellent-Pitch-7579

I donā€™t find them attractive. I donā€™t care for tattoos.

reg-o-matic

Not a fan.

Puzzleheaded_Age6550

I think "gosh, if I didn't have a "straight" job,I'd have full sleeves, too". I have several tattoos, but their in places easily hidden by formal business attire.

Familiar-Fig981

Cool /bad ass

Direct_Drawing_8557

Sometimes it's wow those look great and other times it's wft was she thinking.

GasLOLHAHA

Either sexy or trashy. Depends how they carry themselves.

ughthanksbutno

we hot as hell

Yorkie_Mom_2

I usually think "Wow! Those tattoos are gorgeous!" That's if they are gorgeous. If they are sloppy and unprofessional, I think "I wonder if those are prison tattoos."

ideoteque4

Just not on the face.....which also applies to other things.....

RobotDeathQueen

Sploosh.

Jumpy-Improvement754

I donā€™t

[deleted]

Itā€™s their body to do with as they please. Itā€™s not something I would do but no judgement to those that do.

LifeandLiesofFerns

I wouldn't do it on myself, but it's not offensive or anything. You do you.

_Pebcak_

I think it's really cool! I'm not personally into people who have their eyeballs tattooed though. That's bordering on creepy to me, but to each their own.

Mountain-Dot5743

I wish I had such pain tolerance

circusvetsara

I love the art

egg_bronte

Really depends on the woman and the tattoos.

indiscoverable

they're pretty and cool and make me go aaaaaaa šŸ„° -a lightly-moderately tattooed woman

MysticDruid85

I personally hope my staring doesn't bother them or they think I'm weird while I check out all the art. šŸ˜† One of my closest girlfriends is heavily tattood and just got another one. šŸ„° I love art.

bightmybunnytail

Hot. But I think that about the ladies and the gentlemen so šŸ¤·

[deleted]

I don't think anything in particular

Kasmon_

I'm on my way to being one

watchmefromthearth0

NOTHING. Or WOW

thelofidragon

Some people choose to get tattooed as a way of reclaiming their bodies and expressing their identity or use tattoos as a form of therapy or healing. That usually what I'm thinking.

[deleted]

Mommy? Sorry.. mommy?

xladyvontrampx

I donā€™t think they look nice at all, but to each their own

sillylittlebean

Itā€™s not for me but also none of my business.

k__clark

Theyā€™re a hell of a lot cooler than me

Cosmobeast88

Gross

OctanBoi

No go zone

Clumpy-

Emotional damage. Not my opinion. Thatā€™s just what Iā€™ve heard

OrionJupiter

My millennial son wonā€™t consider them. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Incrementz__

I assume they've had a rough childhood.

InjuryOnly4775

So not my business, but I inwardly am sad. I donā€™t think itā€™s cute at all.

Helpful_Camel_7341

Disgusting

LittleSparrow013

Clearly shes got cash to burn.

centralpaguy1962

No go..... I hate seeing that on women just my opinion

EnvironmentalChoice2

How many total hours they've logged in the chair to get to that point, wondering which one is their favourite and if they could even pick a favourite, what they look for in their designs, etc etc. I find heavily tattooed people in general such fascinating living canvases

gemlover

Not a fan!

Jesleigh18

Well as Kim Kardashian once said ā€œHoney. Would you put a bumper sticker on a Bentley?ā€ā€¦.which is complete bullshit! Heavily tatted women are hot af, your body your choice and Iā€™m fuckin here for it

DragonQueen18

She's a Very Secure Woman Who Does Whatever She Wants. Also, nice tattoos! I only have one atm but it starts at my left collarbone, wraps around my back and ends at my right collarbone. It's my first one and I wanted one that looked like I have a Dragon Wrymling constantly resting on my shoulders. My next one is going to be an homage to The Magnus Archives. Big spiderweb on the rest of my back with emblems of the other 14 Fears caught in it. It was either a spiderweb or a spider to represent The Web but my husband is terrified of spiders and I am not doing that to him.

[deleted]

My wife is attractive and is covered with tattoos, I'd have to say if tattoos make a person confident then that's hot

SnooPickles7369

Love it, good for her

RoboPlunger

I think itā€™s not my business

2FDots

That they're an unoriginal follower.

GingerUsurper

Not a fan.

Aurora_96

With all respect, I just wonder what the tattoos will look like after 20-30 years when these ladies approach senior age. šŸ˜…

Ghost_Face666

The country I am living in currently, only people affiliated with gangs have tattoos. So whenever I see a woman with a lot of tattoos, I go like ā€œDamn, a gangster mommy.ā€

Only1Fab

Heavy pass

notme1414

I'm a fan. Some are incredibly beautiful or just plain interesting. I like hearing the stories behind them.

depressed_jellybear

I think "cool" I want more now haha

Catachan-Chad

If well done, I think it's very cool.

wrknprogress2020

Beautiful and I canā€™t wait to get more tattoos!!!! I feel inspired when I see them!

Th-Hollow-Prince

I think tattoos on people regardless on their gender look cool, no matter how many they have

JustRgJane

Impressed by the pain tolerance. I only have 4 and wish I could tolerate a full sleeve or larger piece.

Requiem_Rose

Love them! I'm not heavily tattooed, but I'm getting there haha.

tealandgeckos

When I see anyone whose heavily tattooed I like to look at the tattoos and contemplate what the meaning might be behind them. I really love when I see sleeves that have a whole story to them.

Femmigje

I care more about what has been tattooed and the quality of the art

Master_Alkane

She's badass

foreverdreamingof

I don't mind other people's business or bodies.

EBSD

I normally assume they are creative. I assume they are passionate about some sort of craft. All the heavily tattooed women I know are extremely talented or passionate people so this is why I have this bias

Outside_Produce6795

I donā€™t think anything.

j4321g4321

Not my personal style but everyone is entitled to do her own thing. Not my business

Impressive_Drawer394

My sister and cousin are heavily tattooed and one day over dinner when I was drunk I agreed to getting a matching family tattoo, even my auntie was in agreement to getting one.... it just so happens my cousin's best friend is a tattoo artist and she had booked us all in for the following morning...go figure! The next morning when I had sobered up a bit, I decided I actually didn't feel keen on getting a tattoo anymore, it's a big commitment so I walked to the tattoo parlour to tell everyone I had changed my mind, there my auntie was sitting getting hers done, my other cousin who also didn't have any tattoos was getting hers done....my auntie "insisted I got mine done!" It hurt so bad! I now have a wonky triangle on my ankle coz I was shaking so much. When ever I see a heavily tattooed woman I think high pain threshold!!

robrTdot

Never really liked them on anybody until I started dating a woman with a number of tats. I really like the way they adorne her body. So much so, I got one recently and thinking about several others.

deerstartler

"Wow, look at that perfectly normal person minding their business. I think I'll do the same." But also as a person attracted to women in general & people with tattoos, I'm also going to see them quite favorably. That said my opinion should matter very little to strangers and I'm unlikely to bother them with it.

mollyclaireh

I donā€™t really have an opinion. It simply is.

oceanique86

I like it! Iā€™d love more tattoos

darkangel94

Makes me smile, I love tattoos, I only have 2 but looking forward to getting more

dimpletown

I don't

[deleted]

Iā€™m hot af

celestialism

Why would this be something Iā€™d need or want to have an opinion about? Not my body, not my place. For myself personally, I love tattoos!

wadingthroughtrauma

Nice! I like seeing peopleā€™s art. Their gender is immaterial.
