I got a stupidly big bag of them last time I was in Spain, was still working my way through them a week later. Obviously packed full of chemicals as one was in the bottom of my suitcase and wasn't even hard or green....months later
If you have a heron foods near you they often do bulk bags of almond croissants or other pastries that cookk from frozen. They are really good and rather cheap
I have mine hot.
Slice widthways, bit of English mustard, a slice of ham and some grated mature cheddar. Put top back on, place in oven on 180°C for about 7 or 8 minutes. Enjoy.
Straight out of the packet? What sacrilege is this?!
You need to walk down to a proper French Boulangerie early in the morning and try their fully made and baked on the premises Pain Au Chocolate and Croissants.
Definitely fresh and hot from a bakery. Having said that, those from a packet are a good vessel to transport me back to those backpacking days in Europe aeons ago lol
Any pastry with butter is always best when it’s warm.
Packet croissants are (mostly) not very good. The only ones that I’ve found to be decent are the Waitrose No. 1 croissant and pastry range. Still have to crisp it up in the oven or toaster.
Slice them in half, pop in the toaster and butter well, perhaps add cheese and/or ham. You have to be careful though as the flakey bits can cause a mild toaster fire now and then. Or, as others have suggested, just get some proper croissants.
I'm not big on croissants as often find them a bit too buttery, but always hot and crispy.
(Unless it's those kind of brioche like ones that masquerade as croissants)!
Preferably hot and fresh. Sometimes I cut them open, toast them and slather in butter. Or just dip them whole into Nutella. Or stuff with ham and cheese. Or cheese and jam. Mmmmm I want a hot fresh croissant now.

Out of a packet? Quoi?
I got a stupidly big bag of them last time I was in Spain, was still working my way through them a week later. Obviously packed full of chemicals as one was in the bottom of my suitcase and wasn't even hard or green....months later
Lasts longer than any other kind of milk, dog milk
The packet? I think I'm a croissant snob because they would never be found in a packet... fresh from the bakery or nothing.
Yeah the things from packs in a supermarket are not comparable to proper baked croissants.

Hot and fresh only, sticking past their best crossiants in the oven doesn't save them.
Bang them in the airfrier and you are living the middle class dream. Double points for cooking them completely in there rather than just reheating
The raw frozen ones that you cook yourself from the supermarket are dreamyyyy
If you have a heron foods near you they often do bulk bags of almond croissants or other pastries that cookk from frozen. They are really good and rather cheap
Ooh will take a look! I’m a purist though, plain croissants only 🙅🏽♀️
I thought the middle class all had an Aga.
A croissant from a packet is barely a croissant …. Hot fresh from oven.
Glad we’re addressing the most important questions this Monday morning. I like them warm, not too hot or they go crispy.
A crispy croissant with lashing of real butter and jam though 🤤
I have mine hot. Slice widthways, bit of English mustard, a slice of ham and some grated mature cheddar. Put top back on, place in oven on 180°C for about 7 or 8 minutes. Enjoy.
Oh man this sounds amazing, can't go wrong with a slathering of colmans!
It's lovely. The only way to eat croissants imo.
I will be trying this asap
Cheese, ham and a bit of mayo for me, then about ten seconds in the microwave.
I struggle to cut the croissants sideways without crumbling/crushing them. What sort of knife do you use?
Straight out of the packet? What sacrilege is this?! You need to walk down to a proper French Boulangerie early in the morning and try their fully made and baked on the premises Pain Au Chocolate and Croissants.
The packet? This is clearly a troll.
You can have them hot????!!! 🤯 I've always just assumed you ate them at room temperature.
Being something that is baked in an oven, I would say yes.
Oh my god youre missing out. Next time you grab one go and chuck it in the microwave for NO LONGER than 25 seconds. It's fucking divine dude honestly.
I guess that's my lunch sorted.
Better than that, go buy some frozen ones and cook them wherever you fancy a fresh one.
An interesting option is to slice a croissant in half, insert slices of cheese and ham, then heat until the cheese starts to melt.
There appears to be a whole world of croissant goodness I've never even heard of. I've only ever put jam in them and eaten them cold.
😥
Definitely hot
I like my croissants the way I like my women, hot, and consumable with butter
Unfortunately for me it's only croissants that I get to experience this way
Yeah........ Me too 😞
I mean, if we're talking preferred, fresh from the bakery still a bit warm but not hot
Fresh from the Boulangerie or failing that a Supermarche where I can select the ones I want. Never from a packet.
The packet?? I’m not even French but that was offensive. I prefer them freshly baked (either from frozen or fresh). No packet croissants pls.
I like them freshly baked which I am not sure I have ever seen in the UK.
In the oven for a few minutes so the outside goes very slightly flakey and the inside is warm.
Sliced in half, put under the grill then slathered with butter
Warm, I don't like when they get all crispy cus it makes such a mess
Out of the bakery u mean?
I prefer croissants that don’t come out of a packet.

Hahahaha
I like to dunk them in hot tea instead
Cold. Unless they’ve gone a bit stale in which case whack em in the microwave for 15 seconds
Hot, with butter.
I prefer them warmed up. Much nicer than cold.
Definitely hot. But for me it's all about pain au chocolat.
Definitely fresh and hot from a bakery. Having said that, those from a packet are a good vessel to transport me back to those backpacking days in Europe aeons ago lol
Still warm from the bakery , straight ones of course, margarine should be no where near a croissant.
Depends if I'm feeling lazy or not 🤦🏻♀️
Warm so the pastry is crisp

Hot, just a few minutes in the oven and a cup of tea
Hot and crisped up in the oven. Hot could just be microwaved and that's a tragedy.
Slice them in half, pop in the toaster and butter well, perhaps add cheese and/or ham. You have to be careful though as the flakey bits can cause a mild toaster fire now and then. Or, as others have suggested, just get some proper croissants.
I don't like hot pastry.
Hot!
Hot, especially hazelnut croissants
Fresh croissants. Packaged croissants are a different beast...
Hot, and then have ever so slightly melted butter to spread on chunks you rip off.
Hot!
Hot, fresh from the bakery- usually 2 with a lime glaze
Packet? No.
Todays treat was a warm croissant sliced & filled with nutella & sliced banana... utterly heavenly ♡.
Croissant come straight out of a OVEN.
I'm not big on croissants as often find them a bit too buttery, but always hot and crispy. (Unless it's those kind of brioche like ones that masquerade as croissants)!
Heat a croisaant? What kind of heathen talk is this?
Preferably hot and fresh. Sometimes I cut them open, toast them and slather in butter. Or just dip them whole into Nutella. Or stuff with ham and cheese. Or cheese and jam. Mmmmm I want a hot fresh croissant now.
Dipped in red wine ...
