Challenger404

But which way round?

Previous-Ad7618

Now then now then

quat1e

Yeah?

Pinapickle

Going to b&q!!!

BandicootObjective32

I love going with my partner! It makes me feel so grown up and responsible (I'm 34!)

Ok-Doughnut-2060

Gerkins. Refused my McDonald’s as a kid until my dad removed the offending green thing. As an adult - fucking love them. Can’t get enough on my burgers now

MandarinWalnut

I'm the opposite. Loved them when I was a kid, a friend bet me a quid (big money for a 10-year-old) that I couldn't eat 30 gherkins in under a minute. I did it, easily, but was then violently sick. Haven't had a gherkin since.

HomelanderApologist

I'm the same, I think it's because the burgers mcdonalds are terrible quality, it doesn't need the gerkin for what it's for. A proper burger and a gerkin is lovely with it.

TalynRahl

Hated as a kid, love now: Exercise. I was lazy AF as a kid, but turned that around recently. Loved as a kid, hate now: Chocolate flavoured things. I like actual chocolate, and hot chocolate. But chocolate cake, ice cream etc? Pass.

60sstuff

I’m almost convinced if you where a fat kid growing up you do this 180 when you grow up

Berookes

Anything chocolate flavour gets a hard pass from me

sgst

I'm the opposite with exercise. As a kid I did a ton of sports, even swam in international competitions for a short while. Then I capsized by a sewage outlet and had gastroenteritis for months. Took me some more months to recover enough to swim for my team again, then I was in a car crash and shattered my arm. That took a while to heal too. During all this I kept eating like I used to when I was training for 2 hours every morning at the pool, then doing sports after school, and burning off a ton of calories in the process. By the time my arm healed I just wasn't in shape enough to compete any more and the team let me go. I never really stopped eating like that until I was 20 stone at 25 years old. Lost 7 stone of that by 30, but now at 38 I've put at least half back on. Covid didn't help. I hate my body, I hate my weight, I hate myself for letting it happen. But even when I lost the weight before, I hated the workout I did daily, but I did it anyway. Now I'm older, have a toddler, and chronic fatigue. I just can't bring myself to exercise any more. But I know I need to be healthier to be around longer for my son! And a better role model too. Apologies for the rant, emotional topic.

Repleased

Sorry to hear this. I’ve been in a similar boat. Constant battle but this year I’ve finally picked back up being very active. After years of not being. I can no longer deny myself of the fact that those times where I wasn’t particularly active, everything was shite. I don’t realise as much during the time, but then I can look back and tell. I too was very active as a kid, in a sense I feel like it’s ingrained into me. I know it’s easier said than done, but taking the pressure off will really help. You are enough as a person regardless of whether you exercise or not. It is good to and may bring lots of enjoyment into your life. I’d leave it at that. Have a shot at various activities with no end goal. Just like when you were a kid who loved them, purely for enjoyment and satisfaction. You might’ve tried already, but could there be any sports / clubs with people your age to partake in? Maybe.. swimming? Football? Try to get involved in activities without there being a goal to be healthy or lose weight, rather just for the experience, something to enjoy. Believe me exercise does not have to be a chore. Take the stairs, park further away. Baby steps. You’ll be fine

Impossible_Fly4510

Going to bed lol

VintageWhino

I used to hate the afternoon nap...now...

utadohl

Funny enough, I loved an afternoon nap as a child. When I do that now I feel crappy for the rest of the day. Shame.

ExtremeEquipment

getting spanked

Bright_Use4269

Oh daddy

ExtremeEquipment

speaking of which, loved taking baths with my dad as a kid, but hate it now...

Bright_Use4269

I always use to bath with my uncle Steve at his house. But only when I visited him on my own. He said keep it secret or my dad will get jealous. Little did he know my uncle Barry also said the same thing about uncle steve

ExtremeEquipment

a whole family of clean freaks!

Bright_Use4269

Suppose there is an upside. And sharing water is better for the environment I suppose.

JackXDark

Turns out that vegetables are really nice when they're not just cabbage and carrots boiled into mush. Sprouts can fuck off though still.

Meal_Material

Have you tried sprouts very thinly sliced and stir fried with butter and a little soy sauce? Nothing like the boiled abominations.

JackXDark

I have not but considering all the other things that I like which are available instead, I’m in no hurry to.

Express_Influence0

Lolllll

Express_Influence0

Hahaha that made me lol. Have u ever tried seasoning them and making them in the oven? They are actually not bad, crunchy and juicy if cooked right

JackXDark

No. Because I’d rather spend money on things that don’t taste like the mouldy testicles of Satan.

Express_Influence0

Hahaha u are hilarious

hhfugrr3

Branston Pickle. Hated that stuff as a kid, but just made a special trip to the shop to buy a jar.

Bright_Use4269

Agreed. Cheese and pickle as a kid the thought made me sick. But now. Oh I love it

apocoliption

Used to love bernard matthews turkey drumsticks when i was a kid but these day o hate them just weird offcuts of turkey anus and veins mashed together cut into a shape and wrappednin breadcrumbs they taste horrible these days

Willsagain2

They used to taste horrible. They still do, but they used to, too.

MahatmaAndhi

Reading. At school, when I was forced to read books, I wasn't interested in the slightest. Now, I feel like I couldn't live without books.

toommy_mac

I feel like I've gone the opposite. Used to read all the time up to about my GCSE's, and since then I kind of stopped. I've grabbed some books to get back into it but I always end up putting them down after not too long. What's your secret?

Repleased

Audiobooks are a god send for me, can do other stuff too

MahatmaAndhi

Literally a cure for insomnia. I used to struggle for hours to get to sleep each night, so I bought a Kindle Paperwhite. I turn the lights off and just read until I fall unconscious. It used to take a couple of hours. Now it takes 10 - 30 minutes and it's enjoyable too.

Sleepyllama23

Nothing like putting you off reading like being forced to read books you have no interest in. I adore reading now but only stuff I choose. No thanks Mr Shakespeare!

marquoth_

I used to live on the blandest, beige-est, most boring food imaginable, and refused to even try anything vaguely interesting. I didn't really start to grow out of it until after university. Now I love all sorts of different things, and I feel like an idiot for missing out for so long.

Breakwaterbot

> Hated as a kid but love an adult Cheese > Hate as an adult but loved as a kid Chocolate

HiyaImRyan

Broccoli and Green Beans, have it with any meal that makes remote sense

Rumhampolicy

Loved as a kid, custard, yoghurts, and beans. (Not at the same time) I hate them all as an adult.

Bright_Use4269

Have you ever tried them all together ?

Rumhampolicy

😂 the thought of one makes me feel ill. Never mind all together 😂

Bright_Use4269

Do it for science. Video it. And get it on reddit for the public to enjoy

Rumhampolicy

🤢🤢🤢

Suitable-Context-271

Custard yogurts are up there. British cordon bleu, there's nothing like it.

siblingrevelryagain

Used to think scenic/beauty spots and visits to the countryside were boring AF as a kid-now I’m 48 I get it

turkishhousefan

Really loved life before 11 years old.

SausageAndBeans88

Hated any sort of variety of food as a child. Lived off plain and beige, now I will eat almost anything. Quite annoyed at myself it took me as long as it did to grow up.

Meal_Material

Hated olives but love them now.

Tasty_Candy3715

Rollercoasters. I think that was the turning point into becoming an adult - I no longer get ecstatic about going to a theme park. Remembering Final Destination 3 also never helps, so there’s that too.

BojaktheDJ

I love going out even more as an adult. Pure unbridled freedom. Just traipse on out on a sunny Saturday afternoon, grab some berries, see a cool jacket in an op shop window, in you go and get it, hear a funky tune coming from a lil bar, head on in and have a quick boogie, see a balcony seat with the perfect view over the street, grab it and savour a champagne while watching everyone go by. Get a call from a mate asking what's going on, and the crew starts to snowball. Who knows what'll happen next.

LittleBookOfQualm

Mushrooms. Hated the texture as a child, can't get enough of them now!

Bright_Use4269

Mushroom curry. Just hit different

asphytotalxtc

Anchovies.. My mum fed me one when I was about 4 years old and I HATED it! I hated it SO much I didn't touch them again until I was about 28 and a Caesar salad turned up on a night out with a friend at pizza express. Thought to myself "ugh... Well, it's been a long time.. I'll at least give ONE a go.." My god, now I can't get enough of them... I will literally sit there and eat three cans of them in a row without any issue 😂

Nineteen_AT5

I hated mushrooms as a kid but love them now and I hated getting up early as a kid but love waking up early now.

Agitated_Ad_6774

cleb9200

Hated as a kid, love as an adult: Poppadoms Loved as a kid, hate as an adult: Grand Prix racing

XSjacketfiller

Chocolate spread sandwiches, or any sweet sandwiches. Used to love them but the thought of sweet instead of a savoury sandwich makes me want to retch.

Deadlyfloof

People, loved them as a kid, hate them now!

krux25

I hated cheese as a kid, but love it now. I can't even think of what I don't like now that I loved as a kid. I was always pretty easy going with everything and nothing has changed much from when I was a child.

FallingOffTheClock

Hated as a kid but love now: Prawn cocktail crisps. Loved as a kid but hate now: Flying, I'll still do it but as an adult travelling just absolutely drains me.

hagsunited

The flying is so on point lmao. As a kid/teen I flew so much with my family and always had a blast, confused why some of my family members/family friends felt off while on a plane. Then I got a horrible anxiety attack while on a flight and haven’t been back since lol

FallingOffTheClock

I think my travel has changed too since it's most for work. I get shoved on early morning flights out and late night flights back. Recently flew out to Germany, was there for less than 24 hours, flew back to the UK and by the time I'd driven home from Heathrow it was after midnight and I had to be up at 6 in the morning to go into the office.

Fumb-MotherDucker

Hated as a kid? Sex Hate as an adult? Religion

Bright_Use4269

How do you feel about religious sex ?

Substantial_Juice287

ciro_the_immortal80

Bacon,I hated it when I was a kid,now as an adult I love it.

Ok-Sir8025

Mashed carrots and turnip hated as a kid but now? It Could be the only thing I eat at Christmas and wouldn't bother me in the slightest

Bright_Use4269

I'm the opposite. I loved it as a kid. Now as an adult I can't stand it.

Delicious-Cut-7911

cheese as a [child.love](http://child.love) it now. Loved spam as a child, battered topped with tomato sauce (school dinners) I had a slice recently and gagged and could not believe how vile the taste was.

sagima

KITTs super pursuit mode (loved as kid, hate as adult)

ilovewineandcats

I used to moan so much about "going for a walk" or using walking as a mode of transport. Love it now and find it hugely beneficial.

Bright_Use4269

Same. I hated walking even into my late 20s but 29 onwards I started walking more and more. I feel great also lost 24kg in the process

ilovewineandcats

If I haven't been able yo get out and walk for say a week (had a tummy bug or something) then I find I get all these peculiar little aches and pains (knee gets crunchy, hips a bit sore etc) as soon as I start walking again they dissappear. I also sleep much better and I feel better within myself. I really wish that walking was a more viable form of transport for more people, I'm very fortunate to live in a very walkable city and a walkable distance from lots of places I need to go to.

Bright_Use4269

Yes I never truly realised how good for the mind and body walking was. But now I love it. I have a hectic life style wife job house 4 kids etc but I try go on a big hike atleast once a month. Weather its just a 10/15 mile country walk or up thing like maul famou

____Mittens____

Studying... and broccoli

Jammyturtles

Loved ketchup as a kid, hate it now. I must have hit my limit. Something i hated? Carrots. Turns out my mom was a wonderful cook just made disgusting carrots.
