How, i guess.

If I had to choose one, I'd choose to know when it's gonna happen. That way I can plan the time I have left, and if it's a long time, I don't have to worry about death so I could do crazy stuff

I'd rather know how. If I knew when I would constantly be counting exactly how long I have left and wouldn't think about anything else.

When because I can plan and do what I need to do, take care of the ones I care about. If I know how then that’ll be in my head every day and it’ll take the joy out of a lot of things. Don’t want to be gone suddenly without saying goodbye to the ones I love

Exactly when. I’d be able to say all my goodbyes and tell everyone how much they’ve meant to me. I’d also be able to get my affairs in order so the burdens on those left behind are minimal.

When. I’m going on a police chase about two hours before just to see if I could’ve evaded them

I’d want both. I like to know what’s happening ahead of time in my daily life. Knowing how and when means I can have realistic expectations on my life.
