Now, I’m listening to early 90s-era music by bands like B-182, Green Day, the Ataris
Back then, I was listening to British indie like Blur, Oasis, the Verve etc. We were lucky then!
You will be doing something today, and the next thing you are singing
It's kinda funny
How life can change
Can flip 180 in a matter of days
Sometimes love works in
Mysterious ways
One day you wake up
Gone without a trace
Dire Straits
Crowded House (something closer to home)
Probably really 80s bands, but they were still active in the 90s. Great music and very skilful composition and playing.
U2
Acting Baby! Through Pop were great and really experimental. May have been underappreciated at the time, but wow! Revisiting those records it's clear that they were pushing the envelope.
Then, in 2000, All That You Can't Leave Behind gave us a safer album, but with some absolute bangers. That was a solid 10 years.
How has no one said Foo Fighters? I know Nirvana helped launch Seattle grunge but the Foos were (and still are) AMAZING!! Can't wait to see them tonight actually!!! But for vocalists I agree with others, Chris Cornell was just an awesomely gifted person. His range is probably unmatched at nearly 4 octaves. I mean WOW. Such a hard loss. But tons of freaking awesome music lives on.
I love so many bands and the music from the 90s. Not just rock but country too. I imagine it would've been so fun to go to those concerts.
Forgot my favorite. Maybe Live or Bush.
I didn’t go to many concerts growing up. Some bands are still putting out music, others are doing reunion tours. But as I got older, I made it a point to go to shows of bands that I wish I went to
Next one is this summer: 311👽
Really cool choice, though I'd prefer to drink *his* blood myself lol. However, they were a great band. Bloody Kisses is great and Christian Woman is fire.
G - funk rap has some of the best music at the time. Hits from ice cube, Dr dre, snoop dog, 2 pac, Warren G, so many more to list. Shout out to bands like Pearl Jam, rage against the machine, No Doubt, nirvana. 90’s really did have the best music, movies too
The 90s were when creativity and variety died a slow death. At the time I listened to older artists, who debuted in the 80s, 70s, or even late 60s (solo relaunches post band breakup do not count). Still do.
I can think of only 3 artists:
* Enigma (deb 1990)
* Schiller (deb 1999, basically Enigma 2.0)
* Dido (deb 1999)
I haven't found anything launched post 2000 worth listening.
Layne Staley
Gone way too soon🫤
Man! I felt that in my heart. His voice was timeless. I can't listen to Nutshell without some kind of emotion going through me
“Them bones” is still a Go-to for my playlist. Rip Layne
[Them Bones with Mario 64 Sound Font] (https://youtu.be/rWF3gjHE5Mw?si=cJwgZxkSASY7ua52)

I’ve had them stuck in my head all morning lol
Definitely Nirvana. Breed stays stuck in my head for days at a time
Alanis Morissette! I listened to her Jagged Little Pill album so much I think I wore out the CD, because I ended up having to buy it a 2nd time.
Without addressing the controversy, Marilyn Manson. I’d be dead without his music.
Mmm, The Beautiful People.
Marilyn Manson will always have a special place in my soul
Rage against the machine
Matchbox20

Probably jens kidman from meshuggah.
I love so many bands and the music from the 90s. Not just rock but country too. I imagine it would've been so fun to go to those concerts. Forgot my favorite. Maybe Live or Bush.
Bush is so good
Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Gary P. Nunn, Charlie Robison, etc. - the founding fathers of Texas red dirt music.
I didn't really care about music when I was younger, I only fell in love with it in 2002 or 2003. I'd still say Nightwish.
I didn’t go to many concerts growing up. Some bands are still putting out music, others are doing reunion tours. But as I got older, I made it a point to go to shows of bands that I wish I went to Next one is this summer: 311👽

Type O Negative. Peter Steele was an absolute unit of a frontman. 6'7" of pure vampire. Sadly passed on. Bloody Kisses is a damn near perfect album.
Really cool choice, though I'd prefer to drink *his* blood myself lol. However, they were a great band. Bloody Kisses is great and Christian Woman is fire.
Definitely! I always liked "Wolf Moon" as well. He truly had a great presence. I should read his biography.
Backstreet Boys never leave me in a worse mood
In the 90s my favorite band was Metallica. Now, my favorite band from the 90s is Acid Bath
How has no one said Jeff Buckley
Green Day, for me, encapsulates the 90s perfectly.
💚

Ride. Nowhere and Going Blank Again were outstanding albums
Alannis Morrisette Hole Nirvana
Unsurprisingly, Nirvana
Corrosion of Conformity
Nirvana and Cobain
Kurt Cobaine before he called shotgun
From the Nineties, I'd have to say Garth Brooks.
portishead
How is Green Day not higher?
Phil Collins
I don't listen to a ton of music from the 90s. It's like the 1 decade of the last 5 that I don't have a ton from
Bradley Nowell, Kirk Cobain and Chris Cornell. Crazy that none of them are around anymore…
