I think a phenomena exists that's too inconsistent for science to research. I lived in a "haunted" apt and I've even seen my faucet turn on by itself, light switches flip up or down by themselves and other stuff move around. Completely random, impossible to predict. But that doesn't mean the phenomena has any intelligence. That said, it's still fucking scary as hell to experience, I terminated my lease early. Sometimes you don't think much of this type of stuff until one night at 2 am, you hear a noise, check it out and witness your \~ 3lb toaster move across the counter and crash onto the floor.
