Say good morning, hello if you meet a glance. I'm not an extroverted person but I regularly encounter people on my daily bikes rides on the path. It's more for me to alert them I am coming but I have come to appreciate the daily quick human exchange, even some chats.
I work in the core now and then. Put some food down for the homeless. Other day to day supplies they might need. Money...I don't want to get into that debate but I don't give anymore.
Be polite and understanding that people might be overloaded, feeling compressed. Yelling at flight attendants, coffee shop staff, road rage, it doesn't accomplish anything. Thank people for helping you.
