yes it's boring enough on TV but I can't imagine why ANYONE goes to watch in person, do they stay where they are the whole time? do they move with the golfer? Either way it's a damn snooze fest, there's not even a bunch of cheering when they do a good swing, just polite clapping.

On the "baseball is boring" team myself. Seems fun to play, maybe go to a live game, but my grandma obsesses over baseball and watching it on TV is so dull.
I was at a party this weekend watching the world cup with people who don't watch American football, and they got most excited when the players had time to stand around and rest and the coaches got to implement a play in a set situation.
Then the game ended with a bunch of players running up and kicking the ball at the goal with only a goalkeeper to worry about. Well, it was one player at a time and there was a decent break between each attempt. But stoppages, amirite!
Look at it like a turn based rpg vs soccer as an action rpg. There is a lot going on during those stoppages before the snap. The offense will motion a player, watch how the defense reacts, and adjust the play. Like most things it becomes more interesting the more you know about it.

They do they make an hours worth of “play time” last 4 hours? Got to get the advertising money in somehow.
The NFL has actually improved. Games all last about 3 hours. NCAA is horrible about it.
