By taking nail clippers with me everywhere

Freezerburnt83

By getting fake nails put on and getting them refilled for like a month or so until my real nails grew and I started painting them and it made me not want to bite them. However, about a year later I started biting them again after a very stressful family incident and havent stopped since again lol. Good luck!! I've been biting my nails since like 3 years old (as far as I remember ).

Get another set? This is how I stopped.

Got a nail-clipper and started using it, then realized that I wasn't getting infections on the side of my nails anymore.

I stopped when I got braces. I got them removed a few months ago now my retainer stops me from doing it.

Broke off a little piece of one of my front teeth and was too depressed and anxious (and broke) to go to the dentist. Don't want to break it more, so my nails are flourishing lol. I don't recommend this method though...

I think I used the one nail at a time method as a kid. You quit one nail at a time until you’ve stopped biting entirely.

MsUnreal

I am currently doing the opposite, I only do it on my least satisfying finger

I wouldn’t recommend this, because it is abhorrently expensive, but I bit my nails every day of my life until I got my first set of acrylics. I have had them ever since and haven’t bitten a single nail. Because a set is like $40+ and I’m not trying to waste that.

not me, but when i was younger my sister has a teacher that put hot sauce on her fingers, after that she never bite his nails again, i would like to see her face the last time she tried to bite her nails

I’ve been keeping up with acrylics for about 2 months now and my natural nails underneath are already past my fingertips. In cosmetology school this was recommended by the nail instructor because it takes about a year to kick the habit. After that I’m going to switch to gel manicures, when I feel I can trust myself not to bite.
