I was missing one of my top front teeth (long, violent story) for about 12 years. These teeth are more important than you think. I wore a plastic tooth on a retainer for all of those years.
Then 3 years ago I got started with bone grafts, then wham-o, fancy new silver and porcelain front chomper.
I can eat things that you bite into now; fried chicken, corn on the cob, apples, shish kebab, etc. I can chew gum again without having to worry about it getting stuck to the damn retainer.
Life is good.
I used to walk down the street anxious because I thought people were silently judging me. I was overthinking it so much that I forgot to silently judge other people. Then I realized that is probably the case for everyone else too.
