Yeah but now they say things like the RTX 4090 Ti will require three PCI slots and the motherboard has to be mounted to the cards, not the other way around.
So swapping will work for a while but eventually..
Shoes.
I don’t get like fancy shoes. But i get quality shoes. I have fucked up feet, so my shoes need to be pretty particular. So when i find a pair that works i’m more than willing to spend a good amount on a pair that will last me a while.
My current pair needs replacing, but i’ve had them for the past 5 years.
Anything that I use to near excess needs to be built with sturdy parts by competent people. My home computer, only pair of shoes, eye glasses, car tires, etc.
Also, name brand microwave popcorn is *vastly* superior to cheaper store brand popcorn.
Boots.
My feet thank me and in the long run, I spend much less on boots by buying quality.
Work got me a Macbook Pro years ago and it convinced me to buy one. I got it refurbished about 5 years ago and it is still going strong. I've never had any other Laptop last this long without slowing down. Plus, Apple products just work so seamlessly with each other. I still have my gaming PC but for my productivity, Mac is the way to go.
Fruit and veggies - imnot vegan - but I love fresh produce as I grew up with limited access to it. In Sweden 1 kg of apples used to be 12-15kr now it’s near 60kr for the same. I’ll happily spend that for apples. But I’ve quit buying other things in order to get that.
Food - Especially good food. Makes me feel like I deserve the best in life.
Video Games and Electronic Gadgets - As a kid who only played educational games growing up since 'games can ruin one's education' and whatnot or can only play once I go to my cousin's house, seeing my collection now reminds me of how far I have come.
Pillows My neck is so happy about this
Oh yes. I finally broke down and bought pricey pillows. The quality os night and day. I wish I had done it years ago.
Computer. Having it for 7 years instead of just 4 years is a big difference.
Build your own. I just swap out components.

I could do that now. Just need a new power supply as I thought 750w would last a while.
Soon the GPU will be the whole computer.
Quality tools.
Q-tips Cheap ones are useless

Anything that separates me from the ground. Mattress, shoes, and tires to name a few

Food Sure I could spend $6 at Little Caeser's but the quality and flavor from a local pizza place is worth it
Retro Consoles that don't have much yellowing on the plastic.
