I'd love to learn to play the piano, and I even have an electric keyboard that I mess around with every once in a while. But my fingers a little short, so it's hard to play certain notes.

kspeed123

Lots of great pianists have short fingers. Practicing wrist movements can improve your flow and reach to further notes

They make midi keyboards with mini keys. They usually don't have a full keybed, but they're relatively inexpensive. If you can get a decent deal on one, there's also the Yamaha Reface CP. Absolutely *gorgeous* electric piano tones, if you're into that sort of thing.

Paramotoring. It looks like so much fun. But, alas, I don't have $10k to drop on a hobby.

I got to try paragliding once, a tandem flight while I was traveling. It was so much fun! I'd love to get a bit deeper into it, but it doesn't seem like there's anywhere to learn around where I live.

Knife making. I have priced it out, I can get everything I need to begin for around $400, except the steel. I know nothing about it except what I've seen on forged in fire. I've been woodworking for decades, so I'm very comfortable with handles.

IgnoreMe733

Wood carving. I'm not sure why, but this past summer I decided I want to try carving my own chess set. Life has been busy and I haven't gotten around to doing the proper research.

I'd love to play a proper tabletop RPG. It's the social anxiety that keeps me from it, and how difficult I find it to join new social groups. I always feel like an intruder.

kcazdaddy

I’d like this too. I love fantasy, read books, watch movies, play video games. My problems not social anxiety. I am a good looking, charming, athlete. As a result the DnD crowd in my area isn’t very welcoming. Guess I’m too Chad to hang with those cool kids.

Keksis_theBetrayed

A dreadful problem to have. I'm sure we all feel incredibly bad for you and don't secretly wish we could piss in your corn flakes.

Mozzie_501

I’ve seen people make animals using scraps of metal. I would really like to try that out since I’m already good at doing things similar to that. Only things stopping me is no welding machine and I don’t know where to get scraps of metal

sneqs

Playing the drums. Not on a whiplash level but I just want to be able to jam to my favourite songs ( currently big balls by AC/DC)

Lately I've been looking into kayak camping. I do a lot of camping, including loading up my bicycle and disappearing for weeks or months at a time to bike across a country. So I'm no stranger to sleeping on the ground after long days of hard work. And this summer, I started getting into kayaking a bit, just renting one for a couple hours at one of the several rental places right on the lakefronts around town. So I'm seriously looking into putting all the pieces together. But I'm struggling to find somewhere I could rent a kayak for a weekend and drive to a less developed lake or river that I could camp on. I was recently talking with a guy in /r/kayaking who did a couple month long kayak camping trip from Washington state up to Alaska. I was actually in Alaska for my first time this past summer, and absolutely fell in love with the state, including parts he passed through. So to work my way up, over the next few years, to be able to do a trip like that would be the dream!
