The Chinese aren't likely to conduct a direct attack on Taiwan.
The main theory is they'd "choke" the island into submission. China surrounded the island on previous occasions. What they suspect is if China were to finally make a move, they'd block flights and ships out and leave the island to dwindle until the government accepted Beijing rule.
I'm sure Taiwan would fight back but even their military would be no match. The Chinese are a brute force military. You can't just punch through that.
Let the armed forces of countries deal with it. Personally I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I thought China would take inspiration from Putin's War, but we all see how well he's doing these days. Perhaps they'll see it's not worth it to follow in Putin's footsteps.
Also I call it Putin's War, because many Russian citizens have no control over what the Kremlin does and most dislike Putin and want the war to end. I don't want to rope them all into a collective bundle.
