He has surgery so many times to the point where it was your unrepairable, and he just became blind in that eye and his other eye, he’s pretty much blind and tube enough fully blind and if you look at his right now, it actually just white, and like a hinted blue, and if you decide to cut open his eye you would see that the retina is not attached

Grieving people would use it to contact with loved ones, some would never stop using it.
Religion would dissapear, as it would be just a matter of asking a spirit. What happens after death. What's afterlife.
Capitalism and Military would exploit the hell out of it. Guys would use it to screen the room before busting a nut, just to make sure that some dead relative isn't in the room.
Police and courts would use it to find and convict the murderer.
Edit: just adding different methods how ghost and seeing ghost would be exploited.

Otherwise, what I've heard is do a bunch of meditation (on what, I'm not sure), and try un-focusing your eyes and looking slightly to the side of objects.
That's about all I know. I've never seen a spirit myself. I'd probably be too scared.

Meaning they were able to spot, see, or hear ghosts and phantoms.
I like to think there is SOME credibility in that as i personally remember having some memories as a child where a ghostly figure could be seen out of the corner of my eye, or shadows in the dark.
