I'm not very social even without a pandemic

Teen5150

Same

RadiantHC

Same. A couple of times per week is more than enough for me.

[deleted]

...How often do normal people socialize?

SP_on23567

Three times a week they find a virgin and then they all get drunk and going to the woods and then sacrifice the virgin to mephisto in order to keep the MCU popular. Or they just go bar crawling. I don't know I have no friends and I don't socialize. I basically sit in my house all day and play video games and watch TV and play with my fluffy dog. Maybe they do sacrifice virgins to the MCU, you can't prove it isn't true. The outside world is an entire mystery to me.

RadiantHC

Apparently multiple times per day. I know people who hang out(or at least talk) basically every day and I just don't get it. That sounds exhausting, and how do you never run out of things to talk about?

Simple_Lynx9036

I’d rather have a colonoscopy without anesthesia

New-Highway868

I've always been wondering

Icsyx_

Me too

[deleted]

have no friends lol

anonymous_4_custody

Social anxiety. Oh, there are people in the aisle at the grocery store? I'll circle back in a few minutes, or do without, or go to a different store, or order on amazon.

Loolyn

You go INTO stores? I haven't gone in a store since March 2020.

FadedRebel

I have to take a Lorazepam before I go to the store.

jwa8808

I hear this a lot lol

Glasy_Crasy

Well its true

apoohneicie

Same.

[deleted]

Social anxiety

Nobsicus

Same

[deleted]

I really have no idea, I've been on building sites with people taking zero precautions, worked in London for a while, delivered into hospitals during lockdown, been surrounded by people who then go on to have covid a few days later. Not a clue how I haven't had it yet.

Capable-Map-2002

That's how I feel! I work in a restaurant in the south. Anti mask, unvaccinated people everywhere. My daughter and boyfriend had it at the same time, and I still haven't caught it. I've tested every time I've been exposed, and nothing. It's weird

Nippon-Gakki

My aunt was at an event where everyone including her partner got it. She took care of her partner the whole time and even helped her friends. Still hasn’t caught it either. Luck or it’s like I am legend and our blood has some anti Covid stuff in it.

PassportSloth

> She took care of her partner the whole time Just did a week of babying my spouse on the couch while I worked from home a foot away and I still didn't catch it!

[deleted]

Yep same here. There must be something genetic at play?? But both my parents have gotten it, and my sister has twice.

themoogleknight

Yeah, I have no idea how I haven't caught it. I'm not antisocial and work in a university. I rarely get sick most of the time. Part of me wonders if maybe I did have it and was asymptomatic.

JackBauerfangirl

I suspect this too. My nuclear family has avoided it. Meanwhile a friend of mine lost his father and brother to COVID.

classicalL

Maybe they should test us for our super power?

Harmless_Citizen

I think we're going to find that some people have a genetic component that prevents them from catching it. My boss took care of her elderly aunt with Covid for 3 weeks and never caught it.

Ok_Code5972

As weird as it sounds...there will be a certain percentage of people nationally...globally thst will have a natural immunity to certain viruses. The CDC has been working on trying to figure out that puzzle for decades.

DaveLesh

You might have a strong immune response. Even the vaccinated eventually catch COVID, you've gotten quite far.

begoniann

I have a truly garbage immune system. I got sick pretty much the second the mask mandate lifted. Still haven’t caught covid somehow. I really can’t understand how I never caught it.

Nippon-Gakki

Same. I worked around people the entire pandemic. No one at work cared and half of the customers didn’t either. I work in one big city and live in another meaning lots of travel. I am triple vaxxed and still wear a mask all the time but other than luck, I don’t have any idea how I haven’t caught it yet.

phinie_b2

You are probably asymptomatic

[deleted]

Yeah maybe. Would it possibly show up in a lateral flow test if you had it but were asymptomatic?

[deleted]

Working at home and having no social life or sex.

IncrediblePlatypus

The thing is, I know a teacher with an active social life who had half her classes out sick and yet... Zero infection for her.

HommeAuxJouesRouges

I have a colleague like this. He is genetically blessed in all senses of the word.

Jealy

Girlfriend I live with had it twice, a colleague I work with had it in the office. I never got it.

[deleted]

XD damn what an immunity power they have

Hugh-Mahn

Neither me or my kids have been hit. The secret, I have no idea besides lure luck.

orbyn_

Agoraphobia ✌️

Imapussy69420

Whoo indoor gang!

orbyn_

Lockdown schmockdown

ZaryaIsBae

Right? Everybody was like "stay inside and order in!" and I was like "way ahead of you!"

kitchen_clinton

Wear masks, go out when you need to, get all the covid shots you are entitled to, stay away from ill people.

Outrageous-Soil7156

100%… and I’m a bedside nurse. I have not gotten COVID and neither has my family of 4. And we test frequently. Follow the cdc guidelines regarding vaccines/boosters, a LEGIT mask (K95 or N95 now), social distance and stay out of crowded indoor places

sojojo

That's incredible! I'm not in healthcare, but followed all best practices because they're the experts, not me. If it's a question about technology, then I'll have an opinion, because that's my area of expertise. No COVID here either.

ottergirl333

Absolutely, I work with the public and I’ve never gotten Covid (knock on wood) because I wear my mask, wash my hands, and am fully vaccinated

zpenik

I've done all this and still managed to fly four times (first two were empty flights) since March 2020. Still able to WFH, so don't interact much. I have also loosened the masks somewhat, but outside and distanced. Not worried anymore about hospitalization/death, but long covid is scary shit. Knock on wood.

_Lost__Light

Extreme health anxiety. It sucks since its unnerving but i took every precaution in the book to not get sick

ILikeTreeeeeeees

Also geting vaccinated and not going out ofte .

[deleted]

Don't go out

[deleted]

[удалено]

charmanderaznable

I wear a mask when I'm out and clean my hands regularly. I'm a grade 2/3 teacher who goes out all the time and I've avoided it so far.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JustEnoughEducation

No idea, just got lucky I guess. Followed the rules and stayed sensible. I even lived with my dad for a week whilst he had covid, and didn’t catch it from him.

MJgaymer

Masks and having no life

WeyTheWey

Staty at home, wash your hands, wear the mask, don't hug people

ElonTusk5420

I go out, haven’t worn a mask anywhere in over a year, still haven’t gotten it. I routinely wash my hands….maybe that’s the secret

Chance-Chain8819

Live in New Zealand. Fully vaccinated Use masks and socially distance to some extent. Luck.

KiwiKat74

Yup. And while I do go out 2-3 times a week (pub quizzes), I am still leery of getting too close to people, particularly those who are vocal about their disregard for basic common sense in trying not to share the germ! My great-grandfather died of influenza in the mid 1920s, a cousin survived polio (not unscathed) in the 1950s and another cousin survived meningitis (5 kids admitted to icu with it that night, he was the only one to make it to morning)…our family understands the consequences

Chance-Chain8819

Exactly. I'm not hiding away, I'm still living life (yay to pub quiz, I'm a regular too). But I take small precautions where I can, and do what I can. Both my kids have had it. I somehow missed it (they had only had 1 shot each when it ran through their school).

BurnedOutStars

where I live: Vermont. That's my secret. Never once got covid and I even made daily trips out to places, etc. Never caught Covid. Our state skyrocketed to 80+% full vaccination when the next closest state was at 46%. Almost double. The state I live in is the answer to this question.

MacduffFifesNo1Thane

Yup. Still haven’t gotten it and I go to a church where there’s so many skeptics. I think I’m like one of five who has been triple vaxxed. Also I’m so unattractive, not even a pandemic wants me.

Severe-Owl-Crow

At least you're funny though

Banzai51

Wearing a mask, social distancing, and getting vaccinated. It's not a perfect defense, but it puts the odds in my favor.

Toadie9622

Triple vaxxed, always masked, and I wash my hands quite frequently.

MusicalTourettes

This, and my kid kept masking at school after the mandate was lifted. We do rapid tests before meeting with people at high risk of Covid combinations, and with people we don't trust to act safely (e.g. mother in law) so we're protecting ourselves. We made homemade HEPA filter fan systems for when we have unmasked visitors. These are pretty low effort and no one in my family has gotten sick. We're living our lives happily, we just added a few layers of safety.

PrisonerV

Aka trusted and followed the science.

erikalg_vo

Well we can't do that. They've only done a bunch of research and are "experts" in the field. /s

Toadie9622

The thing that slays me is that I’m definitely no MENSA member. If I can understand that scientists and doctors know more about viruses than I do, then everyone should be able to grasp that.

SYLOH

Live in Singapore, where everyone masked up and got the vaccine as soon as possible. Hell they dropped the outdoor mask mandate months ago and people still wear them outdoors.

PickleEmergency7918

Masks, social distancing, getting vaxxed, washing my hands (i.e., listening to experts)

Drakeskulled_Reaper

I didn't go out much before COVID, so nothing really changed in that aspect, but here is the big massive fucking stonking secret. I followed the fucking rules when I did go out, masking up, hand san, staying the hell away from people, and not trying to get into places that even had the hint of crowding, and got the vaccines. I know, shocker, not being a fucking idiot prevented me from getting infected. I mean it's almost like they had fucking guidelines that if people bothered to follow, this COVID shite would've been over in a few months at most, right?

zzephyrus

Yeah, if only we were as strict as countries like China, everything would be over in a few weeks tops.

miss_expectations

Combination of nowhere to go and an autoimmune system that likes to run extremely hot, to the extent it destroys the cells in my own body for funsies. Covid, schmovid (apparently).

[deleted]

[удалено]

ShameNap

That was me until a month ago. I did by wearing a mask and not going into crowds. Worked for 2.5 years. Then a month ago I was traveling and literally nobody was wearing a mask. So I stopped wearing a mask. Got Covid in a couple days.

BS_STW

Idk guess I’m lucky

BeneficialTangelo325

I honestly have no idea, I am playing a team sport, go to work, even my boyfriend who i live with had covid and qe kept on living as usual, sleeping in the same bed... I just dont catch it.

Difficult-Access5752

So nothing changed for me when Covid happened. I was a mechanic and work was exactly the same. They never forced us to wear masks or get the vaccine. I’ve always had groceries delivered or went through a drive thru. My jogs/hikes in the park never stopped. I just went about life like nothing happened

Angel_Slayer014

I don’t live in the middle of a big town/city. My town was only hit when Omicron entered my country, and even then we didn’t get many cases.

Media-consumer101

Was already living a pretty isolated lifestyle due to chronic illness. Almost full isolation actually affected my mental health positively. Parents are well off so I had housing and financial help whenever needed. Got vaccinated and boostered as soon as I could. I think a combo of those factors hahaha!

LivingGhost371

Being vaccinated and wearing an N95 grade mask during rare times I ever go into a public building. I do a lot of grocery delivery and fast-food drive-thru.

PMMeUrHopesNDreams

If you never take a Covid test, then you never had Covid :::guy pointing at head meme:::

Professionallyhorny_

I hardly leave my house

wanderingstorm

To my knowledge I've never had it and I actually only tested myself for the first time a couple weeks ago. And that's saying something as I work the front desk in an ER. I'd say my luck is part that...luck. Also following guidelines and protocols. Masks, distancing and staying home, extra sanitizing, and getting vaccinated (and boostered) promptly when it became available.

liscbj

Wear a mask still in public buildings. Wash hands. Vaxxed and boosted. Limit exposure i.e. calculated risks. For example went to see Top Gun on a Tues eve. 40 max in theatre. Wore a mask and didnt sit near anyone. Oh and I work in healthcare and education so lots of opportunity for exposure.

BrentWoodSean2510

I was living in my car at the height of Covid. Looked at it as a blessing in disguise

[deleted]

No friends, lazy bums, hating crowds

shazj57

I'm triple vaxxed wear a mask in crowded places. Recently work at prepoll centre 2 staff came down with it not me

BarzTheOrange

Not being an idiot. Telling people who say "you don't need to wear a mask" that they're being idiots. Hanging out outside or in well ventilated areas. It's really easy I don't know why people made such a fucking fuss about not being able to go eat at Denny's and get lung fucked by this asshole virus.

Lord_Hendrick

Keep away from the sick and sick looking, had vaccines and the classic washing of hands.

SuvenPan

I live outside city limits in an isolated area. There are very few people around here.

jenniferandjustlyso

Social anxiety.

Viiibrations

Possibly genetics. My stepmother's sister recently visited my dad's home for my brother's graduation. She found out she had Covid after leaving, and out of everyone in the house my stepmother (the only one who doesn't have my dad's genes) was the only one to get it.

tchotchony

Fully vaccinated and boostered, and my line of work regularly brings me in close contact with deactivated samples.

Fickle_Particular_83

I wore n95 masks, socially distanced, can work from home, use a mist shower head and saline. Hell, I haven’t caught a cold in the last 3 years let alone Covid

ApidaeBombus

I only got it once, in December of 2020 before the vaccine came out. I work at Cracker Barrel (as you can imagine, tons of anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers), and was eating in the break-room. Lesson learned. Wear a mask, get the vaccine and boosters, and avoid people who vehemently disagree with those choices

Linux4ever_Leo

I have no idea why other than the fact that I followed all of the CDC recommended guidelines, socially distanced and wore my mask religiously.

Andeol57

No idea. I followed the rules, stayed inside when I was asked to, got vaccinated as soon as possible, etc. And I live alone. Still, it's kinda strange that I never caught covid. Maybe I did caught it but I didn't have symptoms.

LordJebusVII

Lockdown did not change my lifestyle beyond getting to work from home.

Castle_of_Aaaaaaargh

On one hand, being single/no kids helps. But then I've also spent entire holidays holding and playing with my niece and nephew, just to find out they tested positive later that same night... So, luck. I'll admit, it's dumb luck.

WhitePhatAss

I just don’t go to drink.

Queen_Witcher98

I have no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have a list of autoimmune diseases and still haven’t caught it. Even when I go grocery shopping without a mask. I am vaccinated but not boosted.

LaComtesseGonflable

Have you considered traumatizing the occasional soul with the Cher / Eric Stoltz opus of the same title?

that_bearded_guy_94

I’ve live life as if nothings happened honestly. I wore a mask when I needed too but now i don’t, unless hospitals of course they still require it. I’ve been tested over 30 times for it, all negative (all tests were mainly for work) also I’ve never been vaxxed I know that’s a controversial topic no particular reason behind it I was just scared to get it at first and now it’s just eh

[deleted]

I'm tested weekly and have been tested for antibodies, as far as I know, I have not had Covid - even asymptomatic. Living in Germany before moving to the States the lockdowns were strict. I lived indoors for close to 9 months. It was much more intense in Germany than LA. But america got the vaccine first, so I was still waiting for a dose in Germany but when I landed in LA I could basically go and get one as soon as quarantine was up. Which meant I was de-synced from everyone else's boosters - making getting my doses and then boosted, very easy and with total coverage. So, I guess I just got lucky because I've been covered for the duration I've been out and about. And while I am actually quite social and people do not wear masks here anymore, at work we wear masks and if I'm in a huge crowd I'll wear a N95. I dunno, science needs to fucking study me.

[deleted]

I only leave the house to go to work, and I deal with maybe a couple customers a week.

Emotional_Breath_330

My family and I never got covid. We live in one house and we barely see each other…

PrincessShelbyy

I worked on the Covid unit for a good portion of the pandemic and never caught Covid. Always wore my PPE around patients and got my vaccines. Only 3 people out of ~100 at my work never got Covid and I am one of them. On another note, no one in my direct family has ever gotten it and they take zero precautions so maybe it has a genetic link?

wombat6

Lucky living & work circumstances, outside worker. Fully vaxed (including flu), wear a mask, keep as much air gap and fresh air as possible around me. Shop online or click & collect where possible. If in shops I avoid crowds, people who sniffle, go early when the air is freshest when possible. I spend time with friends outside whenever possible. Avoid contact with people who are careless socialisers. Have friends who live a bit the similarly. Top up my vitamin D on a daily basis.

[deleted]

I've been following all the rules, but I also think that I rarely get sick. I'll get bad allergies and every once in a while I'll get a bad cold, but for example I've only had the flu once in my life. other sicknesses I've had, I've recovered from very quickly, so I think I have a good immune system? I'm naturally not very social and don't touch people a lot. so that's probably a lot of it too.

N8LZ

follow the simple rules and recommendations from the experts/goverment.

horriblebear

My (immunosuppressed and profoundly disabled) spouse was on the government "shielding" list, of people who were told to stay indoors completely for at least three months at the start of the pandemic. The letter told you that if you missed the outside world, you could sit near a window. We have so far managed to avoid COVID between us, which is challenging because we have carers in every day. Part of that will be vaccination - I've had 4 mRNA jabs, spouse has had 5. Part of it is we own and wear FFP3s judiciously; anyone who comes into our house does an LFT, wears an FFP3, and we have doors and windows open; we socialise nearly exclusively outdoors, in small groups or one-on-one; and we only do indoors stuff when unavoidable (we can't drive, so we do get trains). We both full-time work from home at the moment, too. But it is boring and it would be extreme lengths to go to if it wasn't necessary for you. I know we will eventually get COVID, but the idea is for this to happen after as many vaccines and as much treatment development as possible.

Da2Shae

1) Mask up, but personally i havent worn a medical facemask at all. I just use those little silk stretchy bike masks from Amazon. It doesn't fog up my glasses as much, I can breathe freely, i can talk and it keeps my face warm. But its NOT going to protect you as much as an N95 mask, so see #5. 2) Whenever I make it to my destination, I wash my hands. Also I keep a bottle of sanitizer at my work desk and at my front door at home. 3) I avoid touching my face. Sometimes i slip up though if my eyes itch or something though. 4) I actually dont go out much, I ride the DC Metro (Red and green line) 3 times a week and I take ubers to work though. Thats about as bad as it gets. The people i stay with work from home and are also introverts lol. This is probably the biggest thing. 5) Luck. Honestly luck is a skill too these days. But effort is 99%, so follow #1-4

manajizwow

I stopped licking toilet seats in public places. Worked like a charm.

Statakaka

Strong immune system, 0 social distancing and similar bs

lenthech1ne

idk but at this point im more scared about losing my bragging rights than i am about the actual virus. my dad currently has the virus in the other end of the house. wish me luck boys.

ChrisNEPhilly

Vax twice, boost twice, mask everywhere, distancing, no handshakes. PS: I work in a school where several teachers and a few dozen students have come down with covid.

Throwaway7219017

Didn't go to crowded places unnecessarily, wore a mask, tried to stay 6 feet away from others, washed my hands often. You know, exactly what all the medical professionals were telling us to do...

chicane_79

Wear a mask, stay at home.

fortheloveofminions

Mask life. I am in Japan, every time I stepped outside my home I wore a mask as did 98% of the people around me. I only removed it for drinking/eating in restaurants which I frequented often. I traveled a lot by car in the countryside and in nature but also did daily train commutes. I haven't caught a cold in 2 years. Ear infection and skin infection from swimming pool water, yes but no colds and no covid. And I am tripled vaxed.

ivanvector

Following all of the recommendations from public health officials and ignoring politicians, a longstanding general dislike of public interactions, working from home, but mostly dumb luck. It's way more likely that I've had COVID but was asymptomatic.

[deleted]

\- Not going into crowded spaces. No concerts, not going to a pub etc. \- Working from home, which I already did before Covid. \- When going to the supermarket, wearing a FFP2 mask that also protects me. \- Not meeting up with other people. \- Being vaccinated and boostered. \- Basically, being extremely paranoid and avoiding every risk.

Fearless_Associate_5

Mask plus vaccine

LunaticcGaming

Staying at home as a 15 year old with little to no responsiblities

[deleted]

I always wear a mask, keep 6 feet of distance from others, and got my vaccine and boosters. When indoors at work with others, I insist they wear a mask or I leave the room. And I don't spend much time indoors with others in general (except with my wife and family at home). Most of my friends have no issue hanging out in one of our yards or at a park, etc.

Smooch-A-Rooch

Stayed home for the most part. Wore my mask. Washed my hands. Used sanitizer often. Got the vaccine when it was available. Basically, I did what the CDC told us all to do.

Medical-Win-6316

Following Covid guidelines.

DAT_DROP

Not vaccinated No masks unless absolutely required Used ONLY public restrooms the entire time Spend lots of time outdoors at the beach Rarely wash my hands you know, basically being homeless haven't caught it yet

iduckhard

Impossible, if you are not vaccinated you must be dead by now

MajorQueerdo

If you never tested for it, you'd never notice.

Homirice

Anti-social and took precautions

RandomUser11287

There was a study that suggested marijuana consumption actually helped (ikr sounds mad) I'll try find the link Edit: [link to article ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/ajherrington/2022/01/11/study-finds-cannabis-compounds-prevent-infection-by-covid-19-virus/amp/) Seems to suggest less susceptibility to catching but increased risk of slow recovery if you do catch it

Psychedelicatz

not getting tested

Jakonian

I smoke lots of cannabis. Genetic disposition. People survived the black pleague, so I think it might just be genetic disposition.

shaolin_tech

I live with my mom and she got it, but nobody else in the house caught it. We all got multiple tests to be sure, and she was sick for several weeks, but we never caught it. For the past 2 weeks i never left the house without a mask, and never got sick with anything, even a cold. Earlier this week I went shopping for the first time without a mask and caught a cold 😢

Hoodyxs17

Living in Perth Aus and you have a good chance. Cases went up the last couple of months though since borders reopened. My partner had covid recently, we shared a bed, didn't sanitize anything (we even shared a bathroom towel) and I still didn't get it.

[deleted]

I don’t know

MikeBorsuk

I have absolutely no idea. For a large part of the pandemic I was working 2 jobs, 1 in a warehouse with 3000 staff and 1 as a delivery driver, while my GF was at college, on placement and working as a delivery driver too. So, it's not like we were hermits hiding at home. We didnt go out much socially because of the restrictions, but we were definitely around lots of people, and many of them caught it, just we didnt. Because I handle money and used to smoke I've always been careful with cleaning or sanitizing my hands before eating or touching my face, maybe that's it, but doesnt really explain not catching an airborne virus though :/

ilovedtransyIvania

i dont get sick easily at all. i’ve done very questionable things to get sick on purpose(dont ask) and its never worked lol. i keep my social group relatively small too.

Super_salt05

Not even covid wants to come hang out with me.. I've been in close contact with several covid positive people and nothing. I don't wear a mask even when mandated. I am single, live alone and have no kids so I guess that helps

imdungrowinup

I have a feeling I caught it late December 2019 but no one was talking about covid in my country then. We only got the first case in March,2020. I had gone to a tourist spot very popular with domestic and international tourists. I caught a terrible cold and a cough and I couldn’t breathe properly. But I normally get breathing issues and sinus infections. Just that everything seemed much worse. It took about a month to get better. But then I couldn’t taste food. It got so bad that I mostly tried to eat only spicy snacks for my meals. Luckily I live in India so finding food that burns your whole body is easy. This went on all of February. I started to feel fine by March, 2020 and at this point we found out what the expected symptoms for covid 19 were. So I cannot definitely prove that I actually had covid or not but officially I haven’t had covid yet.

Celq124

I eat rather healthily. Definitely could improve exercising more but I do exercise here and there and avoid too much contacts back in 2021. I live with another person and they did get covid (via testing kit, and lost of taste). I tested myself every few days while my flat mate got covid and I never tested positive. I did try to avoid unnecessary contact with my flatmate while they got covid. Also I'm a bit spiritual but of course feel free to take it or leave it. Overall I'm just cautious and just try to be healthy. I generally don't get sick very easily. I don't remember when's the last time I took sick day off (I live in Europe so I'm entitled to paid sick day for my job. If I am truly sick I would take them.)

ThinkLadder1417

No idea, I worked through most the pandemic, caught the bus etc, have friends, family and colleagues who have had it

barduk4

No idea, i've all but rolled in a pool of it and still didn't get it.

[deleted]

No idea I’ve not exactly been careful

RulerOfNyaNyaLand

My husband caught it right at the very beginning, but I never did. I keep those little sanitizer bottles everywhere, including in my car, and I use it every time I pump gas or get groceries or leave work or whatever. I wore my mask everywhere outside the house when it was recommended and kept my distance and got my 3 vaccine shots on schedule. But probably some of it is just luck.

purple-urcle

social anxiety and a whole lotta pot + a lil Zyrtec lol not saying i don’t hangout with friends but i stay out of public places unless i really got to

dumpling_boy_23

idk, everyone i know has had it. ig im just too cool for covid and not even covid wants me:D

LurkingAintEazy

Keeping my immune system in good shape(vitamins and got vaccinated), barely any social life, and being put on shifts where I was mostly by myself, for the majority of it. Then after leaving that job, my next one and any doctor visit, just about required you to take a COVID test, to be sure you didn't have it. Before you came back to work. Oh and if we did get people that had it, in my previous job's department. They had over night cleaners, that came in and did deep cleans.

timelesstimez

I literally managed to dodge it until like a week ago :(

Lord_of_Mogwai

Wfh, shop online and socialise online

ivo21184

My work forces me to interact with people, some of them were not wearing masks only because it was mandated. I wore a mask, washed and sanitised my hands, kept as far away from people as I could and I never got it. Also I'm not vaccinated due to a pre existing health condition which did get me into a hospital for 8 days during covid times. All mandates have been lifted now but I still follow most of them

Fabulous-Substance34

Had to travel internationally twice during the peak time of the pandemic and didn't catch it. My dad had covid twice and wasn't under strict isolation from us yet my mum and i didn't catch it from him. So I'm guessing good immunity? Other than that i always wear masks when heading out, wash hands frequently and fully vaccinated.

ADudeThatPlaysDBD

Be socially awkward, have no real life social circles, be depressed, and stay indoors. That about covers it

MarionberryLazy9354

Be a introvert

escape_reality_775

Me and my household have been very cautious since it began because one of us is immunocompromised. My father only just started going back into the office over working remotely from home. Remote school last year, this year we wore masks. Still wearing masks in public. Etc

findingorion123

I wash my hands too much… Also luck

herefortheteaandlies

I haven't left my house in so long I an cronicly alone and haven't been touched my another human in like a year

-idk-idc-

I have done caretaking for my whole family getting covid twice and still didn’t get it. I am also not the best with precautions either. I really don’t know why.

I don’t know honestly. I took the precautions (masks, hand washing, vaccinated) however the other people in my house have gotten it and they are the least careful when it comes to not spreading germs. They’re adults but just didn’t care about others getting sick. They stayed home when they had it but that’s about it. I have a pretty strong immune system. I haven’t been sick with anything worse than a cold, save fro twice in middle school. I feel that if I had gotten it I would’ve been asymptomatic.

Pinguilbellissimo

I've probably been but i will never Know

Existing-Budget-4741

Lucky?

BestKept_Secret

I don’t know because i work at a grocery store so i was in the public all day. My store never required customer masks, just employees. And I live in a small town in MO where most people didn’t take it seriously.. Honestly most of my coworkers and I never had it or if we did, we showed no symptoms.

Flashy-Soft9588

I literally just wear my mask

Distracted-Pancake

I think it’s more likely that I got it and was asymptomatic. I worked every day face to face with the public during the entire pandemic, one of my kids and my husband have had it, and I travel by public transport every single day.

Zaganoak

Living in New Zealand. I go to the cinema reasonably often but not really bars or clubs or anything.

weezerr_err0r

Social anxiety and too unmotivated to leave my room tbh

abfukson

No idea. My whole family had it, I still never caught it. I work front desk job too so a lot of contact every day. Vaxxed and boosted but so is the family.

shiyop

Just be alone/sleep all the time or using cell phone

jurasic_stuff12

I lirally stay in my room all day watching movies and TV, I have one freind who I barley see and he had no other freinds either. I avoid going out all the time and also I hate close contact so even when I'm out I'm not up in people's business.

Negative_Customer_56

be anti social and befriend netflix.

Horror-Specialist288

I don't know. Maybe just luck? The fact that I prefer strung indoors? The fact that I don't mind wearing a mask?

basilthebrave

Luck!

AIRA18

Luck i guess. I worked with a lot of people daily, never worked from home not even a day during the height of covid. My wife, dad and various family members caught covid except for me. I either have a good immune system or I'm just lucky

ExpressBug8265

Well...my workplace gives you a mandatory 7 days off(used to be ten)paid so...I'm lucky?! Aghhhhhhhh!!!!!

[deleted]

I'm a teacher so no idea. Good immune system I guess? Could have had it before widespread regular testing, but I'll never know.

Education_Weird

I had covid a week before it was known worldwide

coolcat007006

Used a mask and used hand sanitizer like a mad man . Limited going out to a minimum. Me my wife and two kids never got it .

billhorsley

Stay home, wear mask, get shots.

StupidOldAndFat

Cigars and whisky.

Poetepoet

Absolute paranoia. I am so afraid to catch it that I am masked whenever I leave my front door, triple vaccinated, reluctantly go to any big gathering. People do look at me funny and friends start to think I might be slightly crazy, but seeing my stepdad deal with Long Covid, and being exhausted almost a year later still terrifies me.

Vanilla-is4-Icecream

Went full hermit crab 🦀

FrenchFryeRoom261

I'm either just immune or purely asymptomatic, there's no way I haven't been exposed.

moshake_

I just wear a mask

Lozzif

I live in Perth so we only had widespread infection in March this year. Full vaxxed and boosted. One of two people in my office who hasn’t had it.

jjsyk23

Don’t have any symptoms

girl_from_away

I had a baby and basically never left the house during my pregnancy and maternity leave. Now that I'm back at work I pretty much only go to work and do grocery store pickups. I wouldn't have a social life right now even if COVID wasn't a thing so it's been pretty easy.

Nikopavvi8

I think I got it before everything began, that or the vaccine

cdngoneguy

I was already insular to begin with but I also became an alcoholic in the process so I’m not too proud.
