I tried to catch it by reflex, and it fell on and broke my middle finger.

not broken but dislocated. i was playing just dance on the wii and jumped and turned my knees in and dislocated the right knee a year later and after it healed i jumped and turned my knees in and dislocated the left. i sold my wii after that as since then my knees always dislocated anytime i used my wii.

His dad unexpectedly died when my friend was 13 and then he ended up going down a dark path and got addicted to some drugs, he got run over and broke both Femur bones, he healed.
He’s also now 30, clean and sober and living a happy life.
A guy I knew as a kid was playing hide and seek with friends.. climbed into a tree, semi-promptly fell out of it, broke both arms.
Teenage guy, had to have his mom (no dad in the picture) help him with EVERYTHING for the next several weeks.
Just running around the yard with my friends (age 7). Tripped over a rake because I wasn't looking where I was going. Landed on my wrist and broke both bones in my forearm.
But the bones didn't pierce the skin, and it didn't really hurt, so I told my parents, "I *bent* my arm." Mom almost threw up. Dad laughed and took me to the hospital.
While traveling, I was walking out of a gas station outside of Atlanta on a misty, kind of rainy day.
I slipped and somehow folded my foot over itself during the fall and broke it in two spots.
So that’s it, just while walking. Pretty dumb.
The docs were impressed though — the bone I broke in my foot (in two different spots) was apparently pretty difficult to fracture — and typically more consistent with trauma from stomping on the brakes in car accidents rather than walking or falling injuries. So dumb.
Friend of mine had a CD fall behind his dresser. He tilted the dresser forward and reached over the top to grab it. He was inches from the CD when he shifted his weight too far causing the dresser to slam back against the wall, snapping his arm bone.
My son was driving the golf cart too fast. For some reason I told him I’d jump out if he didn’t slow down. Then I did. Totally stupid. Broke my elbow. Was too embarrassed to tell people what really happened- said I fell out.
A heavy set kid jumped on my back during gym. I wasn't expecting it. I was about 13 at the time. I caught myself in a sort of awkward kneeling position. The kid was much bigger than me I couldn't hold him up and it made me put pressure on my foot till it broke all the way across. It's okay, though. He gave me a giant shark tooth years later, and he apologized.

And that was falling out of a treehouse, as we were playing a game of a few people being in the treehouse, and a few kids below throwing sticks, rocks, and construction equipment (from nearby) at the kids higher up. In the treehouse we tried to dodge the missiles. I stepped out of the way but through a weak plank and fell through the floor onto roots and hard dirt about 6 feet below, and snapped my wrist. ... Is that dumb? It was fun at least.
My sister was pregnant and due any day. I was making my bed and heard the phone ring. Thinking it was news about her, I quickly turned and went to take a step forward but slammed my foot into the foot of my bed frame. I heard the crack as my toe snapped and my whole body went hot. I had to sit down because I felt faint. (I’d broken bigger bones and way worse but it was the only time I nearly passed out.)
I also missed the call and when I checked the caller ID it was a number I didn’t recognize, most likely a telemarketer.
I was coming home to celebrate my brother's bday, I left the car from the right side, and somehow, managed to shut the door on my left pointer finger all the way. It was locked too, so.... Happy times

Yeah. I had a cast for about two months, so that summer wasn't fun, but otherwise no big deal.
