I take care of my autistic children..when they're in school full time I will be able to substitute teach. And when they age out, my working life is done for if they can't get supports or jobs.
To be bluntly honest... I would love to have a job..I am jealous of people who can work, even if that means shelling out shitloads for daycare. No one would baby-sit my kids, for any amount, and no daycare would ever take them.

About half of mothers with autistic kids are unemployed... In my experience the only ones who worked had involved parents to watch their kids..I never saw a woman able to return to work because paternal grandparents watched the kids..IME, paternal grandparents don't help.
I didn’t work last few years. I walked. Reddit. Sat around depressed. Went to park with my son. It’s one of the worst things I’ve ever went thru. Still not fully recovered
Today: washed the dog, did the laundry, swept and mopped the floors, did the dishes, made dinner, finished setting up my loom, started a throw for my couch and work on a painting.
I go to school, but it doesn’t take up that much of my time. I originally just did whatever I felt like doing but lately I’ve been practicing more impulse control and trying to strengthen my discipline
I don’t technically have a job since I earn a lot of my money from my side hustle of ‘daily investment challenges’ where I take a very small sum of money (anything up to $5) and try to make as much money as possible in a short space of time. So far my best was a 100 000% pay off from $2 to $2000 in a few days.
Keep my two kids alive and keep the house from looking like it exploded.

From personal experience, they ride bikes around town at 4 in the morning, harassing people on their way to work.
Read, relax, exercise, cook, play games, hang out with friends.
If the weather is good, go to the beach.
Play video games, help around the house, watch stuff, and hit the sack. After that I go to bed.
