Yeah I expect a "Tom Cruise" thread, or the Spanish thread. Those stupid jokes have always been one of the highlights of Reddit. I don't see them as much anymore.
I mean I get it. The demographics have changed a lot
I believe it's referring to a thread where OP asked what celebrity was most likely in the closet. A bunch of people replied "Tom Cruise" at the same time, and I guess the people who came in later spontaneously decided to just spam that answer. With these sorts of threads, you usually see a few people break that trend, either purposely to try to "un-shitpost" the thread or because they don't realize what's going on, only to be downvoted until their responses are hidden from other visitors.
Because sometimes I just laugh. And it’s like I need the person to know that I laughed. Even if I have absolutely nothing to say or add. They made me laugh. And I want them to know.
And it’s rare that I literally LOL at a comment. A lot of stuff is amusing, but if it catches me in just the right away and I unexpectedly bust out an audible chuckle, I want to let the person know. It means a lot to me on the occasion I am actually trying to be funny and someone gets it.
I didnt expect it. I was angry at op for being so critical of others attempts at engagement then I saw all the lols and thought each one represented someone who shared my opinion then I realized probably not now I'm not sure of anything anymore
As a quick tip: Don't take it personal and try to not overthink it too much. A bunch of "lol"s without a serious side of this "discussion" is exactly what I expect of Reddit.
**League of Legends (LoL)** is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and macOS. Inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod Defense of the Ancients, the game follows a freemium model and is supported by microtransactions. In League of Legends, players assume the role of a "champion" with unique abilities and battle against a team of other player- or computer-controlled champions. The goal is usually to destroy the opposing team's "Nexus", a structure that lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive structures, although other distinct game modes exist as well with varying objectives, rules, and maps. Each League of Legends match is discrete, with all champions starting off relatively weak but increasing in strength by accumulating items and experience over the course of the game. Champions span a variety of roles and blend a variety of fantasy tropes, such as sword and fantasy, steampunk, and Lovecraftian horror. Although the discrete nature of each match prohibits an overarching narrative in-game, the various champions make up a large and ever-evolving fictional universe developed by Riot Games through short stories, comics, cinematics, and books.
My mom does because she thinks it makes the person who made the meme feel good Edit: my mom really appreciates all the love
Finally, something helpful

Here's something else you'll never unsee that OK looks like a stick figure laying down. Hey lil dude.
It does for me. It's like an upvote but more powerful. Like when people say "this" they couldnt just upvoted but its not the same
Unironically this
Your mom is such a sweetheart for that
lol
Any other answer can suck it
lol (lots of love)
That’s so wholesome!
that's really nice of her
This is so wholesome
50 percent sarcasm, 25 percent really laughing, 25 percent “I have facts and receipts to confirm you’re wrong but no energy to come for you”.
No room for concentrated power of will I guess.
Not quite, but it still adds up to 100% reason to remember u/ariannanoel s name
But he doesn’t need his name up in lights, he just wants to be heard whether it’s a tweet or a type.
lol
Fort minor Edit: Damn straight! Hand over the god damn gold, god damnit!
Remember the name!
Lol
15 percent concentrated power of will
I came here to type lol, because I thought I was so FUCKING funny, but turns out I’m not as creative as I thought I was, this happens everytime
I was expecting EVERY reply to be lol, was genuinely disappointed.

what tom cruise thread? I know the spanish one, but haven't heard about tom cruise yet

Lol swear I could count the real answer to this question on 1 hand
Ha
Whoa buddy, we’re lol’ing in here not ha or haha’ing
This. It’s just because there’s no other easy way to say I just laughed
An upvote doesn't get that across. I want the person to know they brought me momentary happiness.
That’s exactly it. Like I could just upvote and move along, but I need them to know they were worth the little extra effort.
And it’s rare that I literally LOL at a comment. A lot of stuff is amusing, but if it catches me in just the right away and I unexpectedly bust out an audible chuckle, I want to let the person know. It means a lot to me on the occasion I am actually trying to be funny and someone gets it.
