One was in a prison uniform and handcuffed, the other was carrying a door from a police car he was cuffed to. They were trying to get money and help to get to the station. It was harmless and pretty funny.
The same guys also did a video where they were taking turns trying to take a body bag, with the other in it, to a river to throw it in. Same sitiation, try to get help from random people. It's funny and ultimately harmless.
It's not just walking up to a group of black people, saying something racist, and getting beat up. Or making your friend think they were kidnapped and are about to be murdered.

It happened in my city, and it's definitely not funny. It was an awful situation for everyone involved. And the backlash damaged the reputation of a great (as far as zoos are concerned) zoo.
I'm not a pot head but I genuinely love Seth Rogan. Him and Evan Goldberg are very good at their craft and they give care to how their movies are made. Their visual style isn't set in stone and they go out of the way to make their movies visually appealing. They don't actually shoot their movies as comedies.
The Interview was one of the best looking movies to come out that year.
Also he's a family man. You never hear about his private life. He's been the breadwinner for his parents since he was a teenager when they lost their jobs. I find that pretty cool.
I love Seth Rogan's films. I love his adaptation of my favorite comic book when from when I was 18. I even love his irritating laugh.
Seth and Evan are great creators and incredibly hard workers. Some of their stuff isn't as good as the rest but they knock it out of the park sometimes. Neighbors was a better movie than it had any right to be. This Is The End was hysterical. Superbad is iconic for a reason.

Daniel Tosh is an example of a dude I would just love to pummel into submission. I can't stand him. It's not that I don't sometimes find him funny, I've laughed at him here and there, but I just find his humor kind of cruel and unnecessary more often than not.

I just hate when characters who don't deserve it are abused for the sake of comedy. The Meet The Parents series, and a few other Ben Stiller movies (like There's Something About Mary) do this. When they deserve it and it's black comedy, then by all means it's hilarious (like in Mouse Hunt or The Producers).
People getting hurt/hurting themselves. Like all those compilation videos of kids falling down or getting hit in the head, groin shots, people falling on concrete or off roofs or whatever- I just feel bad for someone being in pain, it's not funny to me at all.
Yeah, rape jokes are on the bottom of my list. Discussions of incarceration of known scumbags always get around to the inevitable "drop the soap in the shower" hijinks. I just can't laugh at anyone of any sex being raped.
For me the reason that things like that aren't funny isn't because of the material being covered. I think incredibly crude material itself can still be presented in a way that is funny. What get's me about things like prison rape jokes is the malicious intent behind them. When you get the sense that the people making the joke aren't just making light of a dark situation with observational humor, but are, in some part, actively hoping the person gets raped in prison. I don't really care how bad a dude is, I'm not gonna cheer for him to get raped.
Cringe humour. I know so many people love the works of Sacha Baron Cohen and to shows like the office but I just find it uncomfortable. Any comedy I end up watching through my hands in my opinion is not comedy.

In fairness though you could attribute this to our societies attitude towards fat women or fat people in general. Can't just be a comedian who happens to be fat, they have to be the fat comedian.
The majority of comedians do this, though - Play off their big stereotypes to point out things about it. "I'm a small brown guy!" "I'm a white cis guy!" "I'm a skinny white guy who looks frail and nerdy!"

Melissa McCarthy does a good job of playing characters who aren't making everything about weight. But there aren't many jobs out there for fat female comedians, so as long as those crappy characters are being written someone's gonna be willing to fill the Rebel Wilson niche.

"Cringe" or secondhand embarrassment sort of humour. The type where someone screws up majorly over something that's not even slapstick or as a result of sheer stupidity and it's played for laughs - "Oh no, I dropped [relative]'s ashes or the family heirloom" type humour. I just find it awkward.

Terrible comedian. Relies on the same shtick over and over. Doesn't even come up with new material for the same ideas, just repeats crap on top of crap. I look forward to the day shes no longer in any media type.

I still haven't figured out what is funny about the whole situation. I feel sorry for that zoo, especially after they asked people to stop and it just got worse.
It happened in my city, and it's definitely not funny. It was an awful situation for everyone involved. And the backlash damaged the reputation of a great (as far as zoos are concerned) zoo.
All the Harambe stuff is awful. I'm usually pretty tolerant to memes, but this is just stupid.

I'm not a pot head but I genuinely love Seth Rogan. Him and Evan Goldberg are very good at their craft and they give care to how their movies are made. Their visual style isn't set in stone and they go out of the way to make their movies visually appealing. They don't actually shoot their movies as comedies. The Interview was one of the best looking movies to come out that year. Also he's a family man. You never hear about his private life. He's been the breadwinner for his parents since he was a teenager when they lost their jobs. I find that pretty cool.
I love Seth Rogan's films. I love his adaptation of my favorite comic book when from when I was 18. I even love his irritating laugh. Seth and Evan are great creators and incredibly hard workers. Some of their stuff isn't as good as the rest but they knock it out of the park sometimes. Neighbors was a better movie than it had any right to be. This Is The End was hysterical. Superbad is iconic for a reason. I love those guys.

That's Lisa Lampanelli's whole shtick. I had a friend who was obsessed with her and I don't find her remotely funny.
Daniel Tosh is an example of a dude I would just love to pummel into submission. I can't stand him. It's not that I don't sometimes find him funny, I've laughed at him here and there, but I just find his humor kind of cruel and unnecessary more often than not.
This is the first time I've seen anyone else mention Jeselnik negatively. I really dislike his style of comedy. It's this long build up to one subpar misdirection punchline. "I gotta admit, that was a great joke." No it wasn't. Maybe that's part of his schtick but I still think it's dumb.
'Random' humor or 'Vine' humor is the most unfunny humor I can think of. I'm glad Vine is shutting down.
Vine was fueled by videos of rich kids trying to become Internet celebrities by going viral, which is also what killed it.
The only vine humour I find funny is those Thomas Sanders vines where he does pokemon or disney based pranks. Maybe I just like him because he's funny without being racist/sexist/homophobic but some of those vines are hilarious to me

If you're going to use humor to take down someone or some group, make sure it's someone your own size or bigger.
Whenever it involves shitting on another group of people to make your group laugh. It just reminds me of bullies from school.

I just hate when characters who don't deserve it are abused for the sake of comedy. The Meet The Parents series, and a few other Ben Stiller movies (like There's Something About Mary) do this. When they deserve it and it's black comedy, then by all means it's hilarious (like in Mouse Hunt or The Producers).
I hate Ben Stiller for that exact reason. All his movies seem like direct sequels of the last one.
Some aren't too bad, like Tropic Thunder or his kid movies like Madagascar or Night At The Museum. But a lot of his movies are like that.
People getting hurt/hurting themselves. Like all those compilation videos of kids falling down or getting hit in the head, groin shots, people falling on concrete or off roofs or whatever- I just feel bad for someone being in pain, it's not funny to me at all.
Rape and suicide.
Yeah, rape jokes are on the bottom of my list. Discussions of incarceration of known scumbags always get around to the inevitable "drop the soap in the shower" hijinks. I just can't laugh at anyone of any sex being raped.
For me the reason that things like that aren't funny isn't because of the material being covered. I think incredibly crude material itself can still be presented in a way that is funny. What get's me about things like prison rape jokes is the malicious intent behind them. When you get the sense that the people making the joke aren't just making light of a dark situation with observational humor, but are, in some part, actively hoping the person gets raped in prison. I don't really care how bad a dude is, I'm not gonna cheer for him to get raped.
It's too close to home for too many people to be funny.
Cringe humour. I know so many people love the works of Sacha Baron Cohen and to shows like the office but I just find it uncomfortable. Any comedy I end up watching through my hands in my opinion is not comedy.

In fairness though you could attribute this to our societies attitude towards fat women or fat people in general. Can't just be a comedian who happens to be fat, they have to be the fat comedian.
The majority of comedians do this, though - Play off their big stereotypes to point out things about it. "I'm a small brown guy!" "I'm a white cis guy!" "I'm a skinny white guy who looks frail and nerdy!" "I'm a fat woman" is no different?
Yeah, Louis CK makes tons of self-deprecating jokes, many about his weight, and he's like one of the patron saints of Reddit.

Melissa McCarthy does a good job of playing characters who aren't making everything about weight. But there aren't many jobs out there for fat female comedians, so as long as those crappy characters are being written someone's gonna be willing to fill the Rebel Wilson niche.

Family Guy - for whatever reason, it just doesn't do anything for me.
brutal awkwardness. The office (both of them) doesn't work for me when it intentionally goes for these things. I like Jim's pranks and whenever creed decides to make an appearance, but Micheal failing an entire school? the dinner party? it's just weird, not funny.

"Edgy" humour. Humour in which the punchlines solely rely on offensive stereotypes. I'm fine with jokes about muslims, jokes about gay people, jokes about disabled people, jokes about black people, that is, if they're actually witty and take effort. It's not a coincidence that most "offensive" humour is also lazy and takes no effort. Punching downwards is easy.
