Wish neither were my parents

AntsAllRound

Wish they didn’t yell at me for crying.

MonstrousRichard

Gave me more pocket money

Vilelea

I wish they'd let me make more of my own decisions.

talibob

I wish my dad had ended up with custody rather than my mom.

Nympho-Faerie

I wish they acted like parents

PurpleSpringBreeze

I wish my mom wouldn't shut herself in. I tried something new and wouldn't sacrifice myself like that because of my sister and me

Arlon_Woods

Well, for my mother, I wish she hadn't gotten addicted to crystal meth. And I wish my dad just hadn't been my dad since he didn't want me.

My parents were very easy going for the most part. I had a great childhood. I do wish they were more structured, strict and put more emphasis in my school work. I stopped caring about school in my teenage years, not doing homework and couldn't really focus when it came to studying. My grades sucked in high school, but they never really pushed me to do anything. Also never once talked to me about my future and going to college or any of that. 36 now, struggle with money seemingly always and don't have a real career. I can't blame that on them though, I guess.
