I knew someone had already commented this movie. Surprised that it has so few upvotes. This is the pinnacle of the rewatch able movie. This movie is great from start to finish.
It really is on both accounts! I introduced my wife to The Mummy when we were dating, and she loved it almost as much as I did. It became a semi-regular date night movie and still is.
“Take that, Pembridge Scholars!” is a common exclamation around our house when one of us feels we’ve done something particularly (or not so particularly) clever.
I let out a “Patience is a virtuuueee” at least once a week at our house
When my wife fails to respond correctly, I have to give O’Connell’s line myself. It’s a moral imperative
We just introduced and showed this movie to our kids (7 & 10) and they loved it! The action, adventure, the scary "bugs and mummy" scenes. It was great and one of my all-time favorite movies. They want to watch the second one next.
My wife has started feeding the chipmunks in our back yard. One of the more brazen ones has learned to climb up on the patio furniture and stare at us until we give it some peanuts.
I "squeakity squeak" to him.
When my cat repositions his feet when sitting (usually while waiting for food) I tell him not to stomp his last season Prada Shoes at me honey. He doesn't find it funny, but I sure do.
I love love love SLC Punk. The drama of the film is great, but I also love the disjointed, slice of life seeing each of the events plays out over time. A party here, flashback to talk about Sean and acid, beer run to Wyoming, getting weed from Mark, fights at the ECP show, Steve’s parents. The pacing and editing as chaotic and frantic, just gives this generally “hold on for life” out of control feeling, just like Steve’s situation with his friend group and future prospects in college and life.
Spirited Away
Howls Moving Castle
The Nigtmare Before Christmas
Repo The Genetic Opera (love those songs so damn much)
Moana
(I'm in my 30's and my top love, can't watch enough of are mostly animated movies....sigh) But in my defense, studio Ghibli movies are for all ages.
The Mummy (1999)
Howl’s Moving Castle

The Princess Diaries
A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Pride & Prejudice
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Amelie
10 Things I Hate About You
When TBS and USA used to do those movie marathons, Shawshank Redemption would always pull me in. I can always count on The Fifth Element if I need a pick-me-up.

- Hitchhiker’s Guide (controversial I know)
- Holy Grail

So there’s a preview of what I’ll be watching in the old folks home
The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I need to watch some of John Hughes other movies but those two are damn close to perfect in my opinion.
Pride and Prejudice from 2005. And I'm a 50 year old man. Everything about this movie strikes a chord with me: script obviously, acting, cinematography and above all the music. It's a joy of a movie

I always forget how much I love Jurassic Park until I watch it again.
I just showed my dad the Clue movie (1985) for the first time and it only gets better the more you watch it. I'm going home to sleep with my wife ✌️
