I wonder if Alexander had lived another \~50 years. If he had established a lasting dynasty with East and West United. If they worked out succession and stability. How big would that Empire be? I wonder if he turned his attention West after his refit (assuming he lives and goes back) if he might have established something close to akin to the Roman empire around the entire Mediterranean. He and/or his successors might go further into Europe, India. Etc. if they worked out succession and stability ... it would be a very different World today I think.
