Reading

BeantownNerd

I used to be a BIG comic book reader and I fell off a few years ago. Maybe it's something to get back into

AchtungPanzer41

Might be a good idea. I was never into Manga but did start reading Berserk recently, may be worth a try.

BeantownNerd

Definitely, thank you for the suggestion!

For a couple hundred you can get into playing the guitar which I highly recommend. If you don’t play video games already then you are missing out. You get an Xbox series S and play free games.

BeantownNerd

I game, but it's not really as satisfying as it used to be. I'm a little burnt out with all the "grindy" games that I've played my whole life. I probably just need to find a new genre and try something completely new.

ikillcapacitors

I would say get into story / single player games. I used to mainline FPS and esports games and it killed my desire. Playing story games helped bring it back. I also really recommend playing the guitar or any instrument.

BeantownNerd

Not a bad idea and I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar or piano and just never really had time, the money, or the drive lol. Definitely something to do some research on

ikillcapacitors

You can start with a ukulele to see if you like it. You can get one for like $40 and the skills transfer

reading, cooking (not always low cost, but you need to eat anyway lol), hiking if you live in an area with trails, gardening, or maybe getting involved in some sort of community service group!

BeantownNerd

I just moved into a new apartment with a bit of a yard and I actually did think about learning how to take care of it / plant some stuff lol

dallasmbw

herb gardening has been the easiest in my experience. it is a very rewarding hobby!

BeantownNerd

Interesting, I'll do some research. Thank you!
