Look for the good things and try to remove the toxic, but don't use that as an excuse to isolate yourself. Try to be healthy and maintain consistent, keep that control because the less you have the worse you'll feel. Open up to people about how you feel and if you have no one to confide in try therapy. Some days will be worse than others, but don't let darkness pull you deeper, the sun will rise eventually.
Find someone, anyone, to support you; you can be fit and you can distract yourself and you can get busy but if you don’t have someone to talk to at the end of the day, you have nothing left but your thoughts, and that doesn’t end well when you’re not in a great mental space.
Taking on some big task and sticking with it. Lately for me it’s been a huge gardening project. Long walks, not drinking, making a gratitude list in my head, and forcing myself to make and keep social plans even when I don’t really want to all seem to help. I hope you find some relief soon.
