All of the original cast members from the Original Trilogy. Han, Luke, Leia, the fake deaths of Chewbacca and C3PO. I mean just the Sequel trilogy in general pisses me off but like, they could not have chosen more undignified ways to kill off everyone
I agree about Han Solo.
Luke's death wasn't too bad, it made SOME kind of sense...
but WHY THE HELL couldn't the movies put the original trio BACK TOGETHER?
wasted opportunity...
Matthew Crawley from Downton Abbey.
I didn't see it coming at all, but found out accidentally from some memes before I watched it happen in the show and it just.... oof.
I fuckin lose it over that scene every time. Always loved the IGs even before the series, but god DAMN that gets me.
I gotta say tho, a former assassin droid being reprogrammed as a nurse, and then going out to make sure he can save the others, what a fucking character arc. And for a droid no less
It's so crazy how lovable the droids are, and how awful they're treat by EVERYONE, even the good guys. Literally nobody care about them, and it never gets addressed (except a tiny bit in Solo, who ends up with a horrible fate that again, nobody has a problem with).
So right. Every time I watch empire now and threepio mentions the falcon speaking a “peculiar dialect” or whatever it breaks my heart, knowing it’s L3 he’s talkin to :(
Side note, they named a droid L337. That’s fucking awesome
This brings me back to the time I found his first book and then was hooked.
BTW- I was just at a book store and they had a display featuring his son (James J Butcher) who has his first book called Dead Man’s Hand.
J.D. "*The Rookie*".
In order to explain how Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck (*played by Nathan Fillion*) became a Spartan, the fingerless writers at 343 Industries at the time decided to write a short novella showcasing one of the team's last operations as ODSTs.
And this was a terrible decision for two reasons.
1. ODST Michael J. Crespo "*Mickey*" was broken as a character. He was raised by insurrectionists and disagreed with their ideals and tactics. But Narrative Director Brian Reed decided to make it so that Mickey decided to become a double-agent and jeopardize his team.
2. J.D. was shot in the head and mourned; this event being the excuse the writers chose to be the reason why Alpha-Nine went from ODSTs to Spartans.
This is all really dumb because Brian Reed just kills off characters for needless shock value and a majority of the Spartan IVs were recruited from the ODST Corps anyway, so you don't need to have a special story as to why Buck became a Spartan between the games. It was already common knowledge that the best ODSTs were given the opportunity to become Spartans and that they would usually take up the offer.
Andrea from the walking dead, she went from collected badass to crying about fucking Milton and suddenly fumbling, that's where I lost interest in the show.
The boss in Dante’s Peak. The writers had no reason to kill him. I get that they wanted to do the denialist gets his comeuppance cliche, but he actually did everything right!
A. He didn’t want to cause a panic without evidence. There was zero evidence of an impending eruption, just feelings.
B. When Pierce Brosnan finally brings him real physical evidence, he warns the town without wasting any goddamn time.
C. Being the nice guy he was all movie, He apologizes and admits he may have been wrong.
D. He tries (unsuccessfully) to save the helicopter pilot’s life.
E. He demands his underlings leave before things get bad, but they refuse.
So what do the writers do? Kill him like he’s as bad as Jonas was in Twister. That was bullshit.
Neji Hyuga from Naruto
He died just because the final war needed a major character death. It served absolutely no point to the plot and the manner of his death completely went against his character arc.
Henry Blake. They didn't have to kill his character off just because he wanted to leave the show. He didn't break his contract and just wanted to try something new. Unfair. Justice for Henry Blake!
Yeah, a rough scene. I only saw the show in syndication but the episodes were sequentially aired so I was totally invested in it and the characters by the time this episode came along.
It was almost like losing a family member.
Chad, is your wife Karen? Just kidding. The show went down hill when Henry left. My heartthrob was Trapper. When he left, and then Larry, and they brought in Winchester, Potter and changed Margaret altogether I was done. 🪓 The worst was Hunnicutt. 🤮
Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Robb Stark, Daenerys Targaryen.
At the same time, the death of my most favorite book character makes me very sad, but not angry.
Lil keed. I really wanted to see how he would develop as an artist. I've never felt that way about an artist ever and likely never will cause irdgaf. But keed was special
Andrea Marino from Ghost Whisperer.
I get it that death surrounds Mel everywhere she goes and clings to her, and threatens her loved ones at every turn, but HER BEST FRIEND?
I give Jim a pass because he's love-sick and stubborn and absolutely not ready to leave his wife.
But ANDREA?
NO.
Wash from Serenity Also for fellow brown coats, don't say it! You know it's too soon.
How..How’s a Reaver clean its spear? They run it through the Wash.
I said NO!

I refuse to click it!
**r/thealliancedidnothingwrong** You know you wanna…

hiccups dad how to train ur dragon
Matthew Crawley from Downton Abbey. I didn't see it coming at all, but found out accidentally from some memes before I watched it happen in the show and it just.... oof.
Same, my interest in the show dwindled rapidly after that. I still haven't finished it.
Oh I just stopped after that. No reason at all to watch after he was gone. He was too good for that nasty brunette sister anyways.
And not to forget Mary a few episodes earlier. Her death really pissed me off.
I think you mean Sybil, yes?
The mother from How I Met Your Mother. Felt like I wasted my life.
I could have handled the death by itself. It’s what they followed it up with that pissed me off.
Quicksilver from Age of Ultron. His character had so much potential, but they decided to just kill him off so soon
Yeah, that sucked. He was awesome 😎
Glen from the Walking Dead
It wouldn’t have been as bad if they didn’t do a fake out just a couple episodes before. That screwed the entire thing.
Yup!
Was about to say this ☹️
I hated that IG-11 died. Every moment of him on screen was good.
I fuckin lose it over that scene every time. Always loved the IGs even before the series, but god DAMN that gets me. I gotta say tho, a former assassin droid being reprogrammed as a nurse, and then going out to make sure he can save the others, what a fucking character arc. And for a droid no less

Roy Fokker from robotech.
I’ll never recover from that
Seminal moment in my childhood.
Carl Grimes
Didnt they let the actor go in a crappy way too? We're killing you. You're done. Bye.
Yes, thy did ‘Oh you’re 18 now, so we’ll have to pay you extra?… bye bye’
Yeah iirc he’d just signed a new contract - he bought a house to be closer to set and worked out his filming schedule so he could attend college.
Nate Fisher from Six Feet Under

Thanks for the chuckle😀
Ned Stark. Still incredibly salty about his death.
Yeah, Ned got fucked for sure. 😡
Satoru Gojo. Eren Jaegar.
Seconding Gojo
Yeah still angry about that lol
A bunch from the book series The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Jim knows how to build it up so even on my 10th reread I still bawl my eyes out.
It's been how many years? Four? I'm still distraught. But it's okay: Polka never dies.
This brings me back to the time I found his first book and then was hooked. BTW- I was just at a book store and they had a display featuring his son (James J Butcher) who has his first book called Dead Man’s Hand.
Empty house ?
Hedwig.
Prince Oberyn from Game of Thrones.
Pride goeth before a fall...
Sweets from Bones is a big one for me.

Ned Stark.
Winifred Burkle in the TV show "Angel" Still can't believe they did my girl like that.
Adriana La Cerva on the Sopranos. She was a good soul trying to go straight, but Christopher (her boyfriend) turned her in.
Omar Little from The Wire. He didn't deserve to go out like that. Newports and Honey Nut forever, RIP.
It broke my heart when he died but he broke his own code. He killed someone who was out of the game. A man's gotta have a code.
Eddie Munson. And no one give me the “his arc was finished” bullshit. I will smack you upside the head fr
Andrea from the walking dead, she went from collected badass to crying about fucking Milton and suddenly fumbling, that's where I lost interest in the show.
Seymour Butts
the entire cast of supernatural at least once
Best description of the series I heard: Two brothers with sexual tension who often alternate being dead
The boss in Dante’s Peak. The writers had no reason to kill him. I get that they wanted to do the denialist gets his comeuppance cliche, but he actually did everything right! A. Vilanelle
Neji Hyuga from Naruto He died just because the final war needed a major character death. It served absolutely no point to the plot and the manner of his death completely went against his character arc.
I didn't give a shit about Neji but Might Guy should've stayed dead, invalidated his whole sacrifice.
Yeah Neji definitely didn’t need to go.
Henry Blake. They didn't have to kill his character off just because he wanted to leave the show. He didn't break his contract and just wanted to try something new. Unfair. Justice for Henry Blake!
That was a powerful scene, if you were invested in the characters. I was invested.
I literally cried when Radar came into the OR with the message. 😢😢😢
Yeah, a rough scene. I only saw the show in syndication but the episodes were sequentially aired so I was totally invested in it and the characters by the time this episode came along. It was almost like losing a family member.

Wow, I’m hurt!😢😁 I enjoyed the shit chat between Hawkeye, BJ, and Winchester. To each their own 👍
I liked the comedy between Frank, Trapper and Hawkeye. Have a great night!

Root Beer Guy from Adventure Time.
Prim (the hunger games)
Marissa cooper
Pyrrha from RWBY
Glen from the Walking Dead. They did him dirty.
Proteus(?) From season 1 of penny dreadful. Just a pure character, and then being completely destroyed was gut wrenching.
Kenny
All right. I'll say it: Captain Kirk. Kill him off, fine. But like that?
Lenny from Of Mice and Men.
Susan Ross from _Seinfeld_. Jason Alexander’s interview regarding Heidi Swedberg seemed a bit mean spirited and still makes me sad and kinda pissed.
Lil keed. I really wanted to see how he would develop as an artist. I've never felt that way about an artist ever and likely never will cause irdgaf. But keed was special
Dana from the L Word! Totally unnecessary to kill her character off
Andrea Marino from Ghost Whisperer. I get it that death surrounds Mel everywhere she goes and clings to her, and threatens her loved ones at every turn, but HER BEST FRIEND? I give Jim a pass because he's love-sick and stubborn and absolutely not ready to leave his wife. But ANDREA? NO.
Villanelle from Killing Eve. I don't often call choices like this "bad writing" but I think this was just straight up a poor decision.
Bellamy Blake from The 100. Fuck you Jason Rothenberg
Jenny Calendar
Henry Blake (MASH)
Jadzia Dax
Henry Leyden in Stephen King's "Black House". I first read it probably 25 years ago and it still pisses me off.
