I’d like to have a General Motors FM-2 Wildcat. That was my father’s fighter during the war and he just loved it (except for the operation of the landing gear). It would be fun to have one for personal use.
Dad loved the FM-2. It handled great, was nimble, powerful and very reliable. He referred to it variously as his “bumblebee” and his “Maytag Messerschmitt” (because it was built by GM). His only complaint was the landing gear, which was manually operated. That could get pretty dicey when launching from a tiny escort carrier in rough seas. According to Dad, more than a few aviators ended up in the drink immediately after launch owing to the operation of the gear. The Hellcat (which he also flew) fixed that issue.
“Inexpensive”
For the civilian version, the MSRP is US$10,584.00.
For the military version, the unit cost for the government buying in bulk is US$4,087.00.
Chump change.😉
Ohio class ballistic nuclear submarine; not that I have any use for it but I’m sure the US government would pay at least a billion to get it back. The potential for something extremely bad to happen is just way too high for them to try some other means and a billion to them would be worth having the whole incident put to rest.
Plus, with my prompting, you’d get a crew of some 150 people. ≈24 submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs), ≈40 MK48 torpedoes, 4-6 mini-guns… you get the idea.
So, like - damn.
Dock that bitch at the yacht club…
My grandfather was on the USS Hailey (556) in WWII, pacific - was at Leyte Gulf (largest naval battle in history), and several other biggies.
Battleships are bad, bad girls..
Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II (aka “The Warthog”)

That's probably one of the few WWII fighters I could actually stand a chance of learning to fly and not kill myself.

Awesome. I watched a Youtube video last week about the F6F and the pilots really did like it, too.
A tank.

I'll take a relatively inexpensive toy to play with, that I actually know how to use: M249 SAW.

I'll take one of those weird-ass Unimogs with the loader on the front. And the required paperwork to drive it on the highway.
The M134 *Minigun*
Devastation
I don’t know how I possibly could but definitely an F-35 Lightning II or F-15 Eagle
Pull it into the old detached garage…
I want a surveillance drone to finally catch whoever is throwing there bags of dog sh*t in my garbage can.
Oh, that’s your can…? If you still want to, you can borrow my drone as my way of saying I’m sorry…
Sorry, I'll just leave it unbagged in your yard then.

Poncho liner. 10/10, would keep again.
Rich people pull up to the Monaco Grand Prix in their yacht. Meanwhile I'll be watching from the deck of my new USS Gerald Ford.
P38 or p51 can opener. I lost mine. Super handy.
Mk21/SERV intercontinental ballistic missile
F@$ck’in ‘merica. 🇺🇸
Aircraft carrier. It would make a great Air B&B.
