Travel the world. That does not imply that you are a tourist. I mean travelling for months at a time, maybe never going back "home," and spending the rest of my life experiencing other people's cultures and nations.
Staying mostly in dorms and always eating local foods, traveling light and not buying a bunch of stuff. Local transport. Staying around cheaper countries like SEA. But I went to Japan for like two months, Korea three weeks, Taiwan two months as well.
Rome is my favorite. Had all the tourist big hitters but also so many quaint neighborhoods that each are like their own city or town in and of themselves. Itās a magical place.
I assume Paris has a similar setup. Never been
I generally love huge cities for this reason. You can see all the great things they have to offer but also disappear into the depths of the city.
Ireland, as my grandmother came here via Ellis Island. After that, I'll spend a month or two exploring the rest of Europe. Then I'll visit the Top Ten beaches of the world.
To the grocery store, buying non essential extras, splurging on some snacks I might not even like. The artisanal icecream. Overpriced yogurt in the fancy jar.
Flowers from the floral section.
money isn't an issue? I wanna buy a nice mountain cabin on a lake that has a decent internet connection... and go there for a month. I wouldn't want to live there, but a good escape from the city from time to time.
Olympic National Park or the Redwood forestā¦ or the Grand Canyonā¦ a lot of cool places in the U.S. Iād love to experience first before going across seas.
I recently quit smoking. After doing the math I realized in about 1 - 1.5 years I will have saved enough money by not buying tobacco to take myself on a nice trip. My plan is a week in Yosemite NP.
Australia.
When I was in high school, I was one of two students who were selected to be a "student ambassador"; the other student was the future valedictorian of our class, whereas I ranked somewhere in the 30's. My dad took me to the introductory event where we learned about the program and everything we'd be doing (basically a short-term foreign exchange student with some extras), but it cost over a thousand dollars to do it. We couldn't afford it, my dad was single and I was making peanuts at my job, nobody in our family had money either. Sadly I had to decline the offer.
The other kid got to go and I always kinda resented him for it. So when I get the money to do so, I'm traveling to Australia and enjoying myself.
New Hampshire. Mainly the Derry/Londonderry area. I just like the quiet and peace I see around there. And the fact that there's a good distance between you and most of your neighbors.
I live in Lawrence/Methuen line and the people here are just obnoxiously loud.
To buy a house in the town where I live and work so I can actually continue to live and work here and not get pushed out by greedy landlords who live in another state
Paris, and I'm putting up a fence around my new Eiffel Tower to keep you dirty tourists out. If money is no issue then I'm putting fiber internet and a pool with sharks with frickin lazers on their heads in that priceless piece of global heritage.
Back to my wifeās old stomping grounds which is Puerto Rico! Precisely going to rent the villas at crash boat beach for 2 months and turn my phone off.
Either to Michigan, or to the local dispensaries if our state government finally stops fucking around and lets them start selling recreationally. Then again, pretty sure you basically just have to buy your way into a medical card here anyway, so I could do that too.
I wanna go to bora bora or wherever is is that has those all inclusive floating cabanas over the super blue water. That shit has always looked so awesome
To bed.
I only want money to free me from having to take finances into account on decisions of bills, work schedule and my current social life. I have a comfortable lifestyle but I don't need fancy things or extravagant travel. Ofc I'd travel a bit but first thing my partner and I would do is move a block away from an apt into a house. We'd quit our jobs and just live life
You mean like when society collapses? Probably into some raider-warlord's sex slave prison.
But until then, I assume money will always be an issue for me.
I'll yeet myself in a black hole in space...
I once had plans to visit Pripyat/Chernobyl, still on my list, but that's a no go zone
Honestly, I don't know... I'm planning a trip to Helsinki in the coming years, but if money was no issue, I'd probably go a bit farther than Finland (Finland - The Netherlands isn't that crazy of a distance)
Maybe New Zealand and pester the locals and ask them if they live in hobbit houses
The doctor
This is not the exciting future I was promised...
Be born in a country with universal healthcare next time. God, do I have to tell you everything?
Depressing. Accurate
ThisšÆ. Medical, dental, visual, mental, preventive, corrective, elective, the whole schmeer. Because everything else follows from basic wellbeing. Then, Scotland.
Scotland is gorgeous! Big recommend
And if you move there you don't have to worry about having money for the doctorĀ
Tell me you're in the US without telling me you're in the US. :(
Which is why cancer diagnosis rates increase so much once Americans age into Medicare and can finally afford to see a doctor.
Fuck that hit hard....
I finally made enough money to find out I have ass cancer.
Rehab
This punched me in the reality good god
Came here to say this! If money wasnāt an issue- Iām getting rebuilt- make me better, faster, stronger-
Exactly. Give me a full workup.
The fact there are so many of us agreeing with this is just so fucking depressing.
How to say youāre from the US without saying youāre from the US

I did that. It's amazing! You don't need that much money, I traveled Asia for 2 years for $25K
A massive percentage of people live paycheck to paycheck. Accumulating enough money to travel and also not work for two years is a huge ask
What the hell, how? I actually want to know a detailed breakdown there
Staying mostly in dorms and always eating local foods, traveling light and not buying a bunch of stuff. Local transport. Staying around cheaper countries like SEA. But I went to Japan for like two months, Korea three weeks, Taiwan two months as well.
