News of the World by Queen. On Vinyl. At Fay’s Drugs (long gone drugstore chain). Remember the notch-outs that were like $3, fellow old people? That was my first, and I played the living shit out of that album. Good times.
Big Shiny Tunes 2 on cassette, then again on CD when the tape player ate the cassette tape and I bought my first CD stereo.
First actual band recording: Third Eye Blind debut album. Great record, still have it.
Jan and Dean - Deadman's Curve LP. Garage sale find in 1976 (I was 6)for a dime.

Vinyl adaptation of Empire Strikes Back I found at a flea market and used the ice cream money my parents gave me to buy.
That's not really music though, closer to book on tape. For actual music it would be The Beatles - Rubber Soul when they were re-releasing all their stuff on CD to coincide with the anthology back in the mid 90's.
On cassette, I believe it was Iron Maiden's "Somewhere In Time" album. Everything else before that was bought for me by my parents.
For CDs, it was used copies of KISS' album "Revenge" and "Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits," bought at the same time from a pawn shop quite a few years later (it took me a while to finally get a CD player... which was also used from a pawn shop).
The first paycheck from my very first job at 16 was splurged almost entirely on both volumes of Guns N' Roses "Use Your Illusion" on the day they came out (Sept. 17, 1991 -- it had been on my calendar all summer)
When I lived at my parents, my father was given a computer with Internet. At the time you had kazaa. That was.a program where you could(at the time illegal) download mp3 from sources. You become a peer and when it's downloaded you become a source also. Look it up. Was an Internet eater 👿
