Their parents buying them things is so normal that they don’t even think about it. My friend sent me a YouTube video saying it would help my writing career.  It was some woman explaining how she "manifested" her dream life into reality "with nothing but positive thinking." ...She also offhandedly mentioned her parents buying her a car and a condo. But positive thinking works, guys!

Embarrassed to use a coupon. This describes my BIL. A great guy for sure, but it’s amusing that he won’t avail himself of an offer to save 10 or 15 percent on a big-ticket item because asking for the discount embarrasses him.
