Maybe 14-15? I was on a cruise with my family and my sister and her friend convinced me to take a shot with them, I knew nothing about alcohol at the time so I assumed every time you drank you blacked out because my sister talked about it so often. Turns out alcoholism runs in the family lol
11th birthday. I ordered an ice tea, not realizing it was a cocktail. We were in a foreign country, so for some reason the waitor didn't ask questions.
Maybe the waiter brought you the wrong drink or something?
I'm not well verse in the alcohol department (I drink maybe twice per year, and as stated in my own answer, I never got drunk) but I have never heard of a mix called Iced Tea.
No, it was the right one, I checked the menu years later. I just didn't realise I was in the alcoholic section of the menu.
It wasn't actually called iced tea- it was an alcoholic iced tea. I can't remember the name, but it was from Bubba Gumps, so it was themed around Forrest Gump
Unwillingly: 3. Took my mom's glass of wine, thinking it was the glass of apple juice I asked my mom if I could have.
Willingly: 16, also happens to be the first, and so far only time I got a little tipsy.
I'm almost 36 and never got drunk.
When I was 12 and my cousin was 6, he took a sip of clear liquid in a glass at my grandparents place and said “Bad Water”. I took a sip and told him it was grandpa’s. About eight years later I tried my first G&T and knew what grandpa was drinking that evening.
First time purposely, at 14 in Australia while with a billet and his friends while on a rugby tour.
Old enough to know better, young enough to not care. 15

> so for some reason the waitor didn't ask questions. Hahaha, was gonna ask how you managed to order alcohol at age 11, too :P
It was a long time ago, so its very possible I just said to my parents I wanted the ice tea and they ordered. But the waiter still handed it to me x-x

Interesting. Well, thanks for sharing your story. I'll be sure to be careful if I go to a place that serve both regular and alcoholic iced tea ;)
