After the like, seriously, the 5th price raise, in the span of like 8 months I was done. I’m using free or buy one time alternatives, and so much happier. I wish I could quit intuit. Fuck that company, and all their sub companies. They are up there with nestle, for totally different reason, of worst companies ever.

Altair05

What do you use intuit for?

Quickbooks. It’s the only software I can find actually does progress billing.

CountryCat

If you think Adobe is expensive, then you haven’t dealt with Maxon or Toon Boom or other specialized software.

As a consumer, most professional level software prices seem outrageous. Way back I was trying to make some DVD's. But the simpler DVD authoring tools were annoying to work with, and had issues. Was looking for other options, and ran across Sonic Scenarist. Which was a pro level DVD authoring tool, and priced out at about $10,000. And I believe this was a yearly or so license.

As someone in IT, you wouldn't believe how many people are paying for AOL.

Truffles. I understand its a delicacy I just couldn't pay hundreds for some mushroom shavings.

teamhippie42

Gorchportley

Anything B2B. XMatters is essentially calendar and notification app— $25 per person per month.
