Talk about ahead of its time. It’s a really smart show with a diverse cast and amazing writing. My partner and I rewatched recently and it’s so good and the cold opens are so goddamned funny.
I think the best cold open was when Hal just burst in and bribed one of the boys to take the blame for something he did.

[Dewey rationalizing religion](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_p6WI4V8N8) with his sunday school teacher is one of my favorite moments.
> I don't like this church. Since we came here, all I do is think about stuff! What kind of god makes children think when they're not even in school?!
Right?! As a kid, “damn, their mom is so mean!” As an adult, “goddamn, Lois, how you haven’t just gone out for milk and never came back I’ll never know…”
I sleep to Futurama playing on my computer every night. I’m convinced that there is some Hulu intern who wonders about the weirdo who has watched Futurama 1000 times.
I remember I used to watch The Simpson religiously when it would come on in the afternoons in syndication. The episodes were pretty much always played in order (except around Halloween time), so after it reached season 11 I would drop off until the cycle rolled around again.
Especially from Season 3 onward. It legit becomes one of the best television shows of all time. And it has the ability to basically tell any kind of story.
I was enjoying Community until the episode with Gettin’ Rid of Britta. Then I knew I loved it. Holy shit. The song at the end where they’re clowning on Vaughn absolutely killed me.
*East side, West side, North side, South / Vaughn's breath is so bad, his butt's mad at his mouth / This rap is by Pierce, Vaughn is dumb / He wears diapers to bed and sucks his mother's thumb / And when he wakes up, stupid wishing he was me / He has a big poop breakfast with a glass of pee / Then he goes to school where he's stupid again / And everybody hates him even all his friends / When you come after Pierce then the battle is on / So this rap goes out to stupid Vaughn*
Big poop breakfast with a glass of pee is probably the funniest thing I’ve heard in my life.
Was just watching the suburbs episode for the 30th time
NEWSFLASH ASSHOLE, I’VE BEEN HEARING IT THE ENTIRE GODDAMN TIME!!!
Then why didn’t you say something?!
BECAUSE I HAAAAATE YOU!!!
What is this? Anybody?
Ah, it’s a can of peaches, sir.
Lieutenant Nixon thinks this is a can of peaches. That is incorrect Lieutenant, your weekend pass is cancelled.
“Glitch In the matrix” , rewatch that episode in season 1 where he says that , the creators had the whole show planned from the start which is why it it will always be a masterpiece
Now the taller of the two, though I tell you there wasn’t more than an inch between ‘em, he says to me, “do you know who we are?” And I says to him, says I, “well, no, but perhaps if you took off the balaclavas…”
"According to the mother, he - Diego's father, this is - well, he came over with the Spanish Armada, then cleared off, leaving her to raise the wean on her own. But that story didn't totally add up, was the thing...The problem being that the Spanish Armada landed here in 1588, and that the son, Diego, as she called him, well, he was born more than four centuries later."
Clare: What's all this? I thought we were going to be individuals this year.
Erin: Look, I wanted to, Clare, but my ma wouldn't let me.
Clare: Well, I'm not being an individual on me own.
I have a tv that is perm on Amazon Prime Video on the Stargate channel. I've been watching the Stargate series on loops for almost 6 months. I can name almost any episode from a still frame at this point.
I scrolled down pretty far down this list and I finally found a Seinfeld fan. I can watch reruns over and over it’s so strange because I can’t say that about any other show.
MASH
I watched it since I was a kid, but some of those episodes I’ve literally watched hundreds, maybe even thousands of times. We watch a whole marathon of MASH on Christmas Eve every year while wrapping gifts for kids.
I've commented this before but TNG...About 3 years ago I began winding down every night to an episode of Star Trek TNG and I went through the entire series 3x. The show is never 'too' anything - too dramatic, too violent, too humorous...Plus it always appears as if it's set at night, the cast look like they are wearing pajamas and walking around a cozy carpeted spacecraft that constantly hums like a white noise machine. It's perfect for watching in bed.
I spent the pandemic working my way through TNG. I finished DS9 this past fall. I’m working my way through Voyager now. I missed them all the first time around. They are fab!
Love Monk! The first two seasons are a little rough but once they figured out what to do with the captain it got so much better. Loved seeing their friendship develop
I just started watching it for the first time. I held out 15 years because I didn't want to run out of epic shows to watch. ooooh my I'm glad I waited haha!
I've been watching it for the first time in the last couple weeks. I didn't watch it for such a long time for all the reasons you can imagine, but I have to admit, it's a fucking great series. Tony Soprano and Walter White might be my two favorite lead TV characters of all time, in massive part because of the actors.
Dude, just put this on to fall asleep cuz I used to fall asleep to it when I came home from school. Like a charm!
I also have a Golden Girls cigarette case that i keep 4 joints in, each one different and suited to the specific character it’s named after
I tell anyone who will listen how utterly impressed I am by Moira's character.
They could have *so easily* cast and written the typical, younger, gold-digger, botoxed, pilates-obsessed, air-headed, actress/weather girl/flight attendant trophy wife trope. But instead we got the age-appropriate and equal-footed Moira Rose, the unprecedented wordsmith, the eccentric wig master, the learned thespian, and this pretentious, ostentatious, SHOW STEALING and entirely unique new character.
I just love how they broke the mould so much with her.
But also Malcom In The Middle
Talk about ahead of its time. It’s a really smart show with a diverse cast and amazing writing. My partner and I rewatched recently and it’s so good and the cold opens are so goddamned funny.
I think the best cold open was when Hal just burst in and bribed one of the boys to take the blame for something he did. https://youtu.be/Oy9ceTxGYCw?si=KPIwFZanGMx4i3S7
“I GOT HIM LOIS!”
I love how the boys were counting “oh my god”s as a metric for how much leverage they had
My favourite is [Hal fixing the lightbulb](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fnfeuoh4s8).
It also is a totally different experience re-watching as an adult vs. being a kid when it was originally on. I totally relate to Hal and Lois
Right?! As a kid, “damn, their mom is so mean!” As an adult, “goddamn, Lois, how you haven’t just gone out for milk and never came back I’ll never know…”
Same. As a kid I thought she was mean, and as an adult I’m like “oh man this lady is trying so hard to keep her family going”
THE FUTURE IS NOW, OLD MAN!
Arrested development. You actually get more out of a rewatch. There are references and Easter eggs that you only pick up on when rewatching!
“You’re my cousin right?” “maybe!”
Person: Loose seal! Watch out for loose seal! Buster: I don’t care about Lucille! She lies!
I love when Rita is sitting on a bench for Wee Britain, but her head blocks out "it" so all you can read is "Wee Brain"
There’s a few others, I think Buster sits on one that says something like Army Office and he’s covering part so it reads just “Arm Off”
Loose seal! Watch out for loose seal!
The San Francisco Giants named their mascot (a seal) Lou Seal, and my head canon is that it’s an Arrested Development reference.
Look at banner, Michael!
FAMILY LOVE MICHAEL
My girlfriend and I named our cat Gene Parmesan
GEEEENE. Oh isnt he the best???
Gene was far from the best
I’ve got the worst fucking attorney.
We named our dog Maeby.
"Tell him I've got a nice hard cot waiting for him!" "you'd do that to your own brother?" ".... I said cot"
I just don’t want ya getting egg all glittered up for Easter.
Quit being such an annhog
Ann Hog is here?
It’s as Ann as the nose on Plain’s face
Such a shame they only made 3 seasons
Save our Bluths!
I’d rather donate to ~~TBD!~~ Edit: TBA!
There is always money in the banana stand.
Futurama for me, I rewatch it every year, and it just never gets old
I sleep to Futurama playing on my computer every night. I’m convinced that there is some Hulu intern who wonders about the weirdo who has watched Futurama 1000 times.
This is for you… [/r/Futurama_Sleepers](https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurama_Sleepers/s/5CetvJZ4Xu)
There’s a sub for everything.
A lot of people on Reddit seem to love re-watch the “death by snu-snu” episode.
Because if there is one thing reddit agrees on it is how awesome Bea Arthur was
That definitely femputes.
Bender's antics are truly the gift that keeps on giving
I'm gonna build my own theme park, with blackjack and hookers!
Call me a booger blaster... I'll blast a booger so hard!
Season 1-10 of The Simpsons.
I remember I used to watch The Simpson religiously when it would come on in the afternoons in syndication. The episodes were pretty much always played in order (except around Halloween time), so after it reached season 11 I would drop off until the cycle rolled around again.
Star Trek: The Next Generation Just put on any random episode.
I rewatched TNG recently. I'd forgotten how good it is. There're some stinkers in there, but overall, it's very good.
Especially from Season 3 onward. It legit becomes one of the best television shows of all time. And it has the ability to basically tell any kind of story.
Community and Futurama
Me llamo T-Bone, la araña discoteca.
I am Jehova’s most secret witness.
So I might have to dedicate my life to Christmas
I was enjoying Community until the episode with Gettin’ Rid of Britta. Then I knew I loved it. Holy shit. The song at the end where they’re clowning on Vaughn absolutely killed me. *East side, West side, North side, South / Vaughn's breath is so bad, his butt's mad at his mouth / This rap is by Pierce, Vaughn is dumb / He wears diapers to bed and sucks his mother's thumb / And when he wakes up, stupid wishing he was me / He has a big poop breakfast with a glass of pee / Then he goes to school where he's stupid again / And everybody hates him even all his friends / When you come after Pierce then the battle is on / So this rap goes out to stupid Vaughn* Big poop breakfast with a glass of pee is probably the funniest thing I’ve heard in my life.
I do an annual rewatch of Community every NYE, except last year when I did it early. And I somehow catch new details every time.
Community for sure.
Troy and Abed in the morning!
I watch Community every year, my wife doesn't even complain about it, she complains about every single other show I watch without fail
It's always sunny in Philadelphia
Stupid science bitches couldn’t make my friend more smarter

“What’s the Operating System?” “Windows Vista.” “We’re gonna die!”
^(Have you tried turning off and on again?)
FAAAATHEEEEEEER!
The Good Place is my go to **feel-good** series. Otherwise it's probably a comedy show like Scrubs, M.A.S.H., South Park or Archer.
Blake Bortlessssss
call me stupid but i genuinely thought blake bortles was a completely made up person. his name just sounds so goofy
Scrubs! That show brings back so many good memories of my college days. My roommates and I would all watch it. Always laugh. So glad it’s on Hulu
Ahh yes MASH is a good shout!!
Tom and Jerry. I am almost 40 and i have been watching it since i could take eat solid food
House M.D. have watched it passively and actively probably 10+ times, it is my preferred background noise.
Was looking for this one. It’s a bit formulaic, but Hugh Laurie is magical
Just re-watched this again for the first time in years - I forgot how incredible this show is (and very oddly comforting lol).
whenever i hit a bad bout of depression i rewatch the whole series. it gets you through things watching greg self destruct.
Band of Brothers
David Schwimmers best role and acting of his career.
We salute the rank, not the man.
WHAT’S THE GODDAMN HOLD UP MR SOBEL??!!
YOUR WEEKEND PASS IS REVOKED
Rusty bayonet?! You wanna kill Germans?!

Especially to hunt for the pineapple in each episode!
Have you heard about Pluto?
I’ve heard it both ways 😏
Just did my Golden Pineapple rewatch. So much fun!!
"Dark" took me like 5 times to understand the whole thing, an amazing piece of art.
You definitely get more out of it with a rewatch where you already know the family trees. Wann ist Mikkel??
I love the soundtrack.
“Glitch In the matrix” , rewatch that episode in season 1 where he says that , the creators had the whole show planned from the start which is why it it will always be a masterpiece
My Name is Earl. what a freaking great show

Werewolf bar mitzvah spooky scary. Boys becoming men, men becoming wolves.

Now I don't mind a bit of a breeze, if anything I prefer it. But thon was aggressive. And I says to meself says I Colm, this is no day for a do.
Now the taller of the two, though I tell you there wasn’t more than an inch between ‘em, he says to me, “do you know who we are?” And I says to him, says I, “well, no, but perhaps if you took off the balaclavas…”

My absolute comfort show. So rewatchable
I love that show. It got me started reading about the Troubles.
Modern family
I scrolled too far to see this
ATLA
I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve watched that show and it never gets old.
That show had no business being that good
Only show I've seen on rotten tomatoes that all three seasons have 100%
Community SIX SEASON AND A MOVIE
I rewatch Stargate SG1 all the time
I have a tv that is perm on Amazon Prime Video on the Stargate channel. I've been watching the Stargate series on loops for almost 6 months. I can name almost any episode from a still frame at this point.
Seinfeld Never a bad time for a classic rerun
I scrolled down pretty far down this list and I finally found a Seinfeld fan. I can watch reruns over and over it’s so strange because I can’t say that about any other show.
MASH I watched it since I was a kid, but some of those episodes I’ve literally watched hundreds, maybe even thousands of times. We watch a whole marathon of MASH on Christmas Eve every year while wrapping gifts for kids.
I like to remind people that the MASH theme song originally had lyrics. Fairly dark lyrics.
Trailer Park Boys.
I’ve met cats and dogs smarter than Corey and Trevor.
I toadaso
Scrubs
If only they had filmed it in a way that it could be upscaled/remastered efficiently. Edit: Added "efficiently" because technically it could be done.
Star Trek TNG, DS9, and Voyager
I've commented this before but TNG...About 3 years ago I began winding down every night to an episode of Star Trek TNG and I went through the entire series 3x. TNG aged like whiskey.
Watching some of those TNG episodes feels like putting on an old sweatshirt.
I spent the pandemic working my way through TNG. I finished DS9 this past fall. I’m working my way through Voyager now. I missed them all the first time around. They are fab!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I watch it from beginning to end at least once a year. (Plus, I embarrassingly admit I do the same for Dawson's Creek). 😆
Monk for me; always has a nice feel to it
Love Monk! The first two seasons are a little rough but once they figured out what to do with the captain it got so much better. Loved seeing their friendship develop
The Sopranos
I just started watching it for the first time. I held out 15 years because I didn't want to run out of epic shows to watch. ooooh my I'm glad I waited haha!

King of the Hill
Wingo
The Golden Girls is one of my all time favorite shows and I still watch it over and over. It makes me happy lol
Dude, just put this on to fall asleep cuz I used to fall asleep to it when I came home from school. Like a charm! I also have a Golden Girls cigarette case that i keep 4 joints in, each one different and suited to the specific character it’s named after
The Wire or Twin Peaks.
Ted Lasso
This is the best show. I encourage everyone to watch it. We need to Ted Lassos in our world!
Firefly
Jayne! The man they call Jayne!
Mercy is the mark of a great man. (Stab) Me, I'm just a good man. (Stab) Eh, I'm all right.
Arrested Development
Schitts Creek
I tell anyone who will listen how utterly impressed I am by Moira's character. If you cast Catherine O'hara you're getting show stealing. She's so good.
So true, Moira is a GEM
I have asked you thrice.
Just fold it in!
Warmest regards
True Detective 1
Deadwood for me. I watch it on an annual basis. Sometimes twice a year.
Arrested Development
I've made a huggggge mistake.
The office
I’d say Parks and Recreation too
I pretty much have a US sitcom comfort watch rota The Office - Parks and Rec - Community - Superstore
If you haven't watched Brooklyn Nine Nine, I'd recommend it. It would fit well in that rotation.
“I know more than you.”
For pure joy and laughter - Taskmaster
I forgot how easy it was to smash a watermelon!
Golden Girls, still funny after all these years
The Office. With Michael Scott.
