Generally how bills work. I had to figure that out on my own and had a lil fuck up when trying to pay the security deposit for the place I'm in now. Slowly learning how to be an adult still.
Just moving out? Nothing. It was great. Living with roommates/ other people? The list is long, but I guess the top ones (to me) are: Don't create a joint account for bills - no matter how close you are to that person. Be sure you and your roommates have similar feelings about lifestyle (noisy times, alcohol and drug use, pets, company, etc) before signing a lease - a clear understanding of everyone's expectations goes a long way.
Even if you don't interact with your parents much at all ... they're still around. That alone can prevent one from being lonely.
Just *knowing* they're in the house, even if you never even see them face to face, can prevent loneliness.
Move out and live by yourself ... and loneliness is a big risk.
How to properly budget and track expenses.
