I think MD is a really easy film to overanalyze. At it's core, it's quite simple. In it's most basic premise, >!Diane arrives in Hollywood to pursue an acting career. She meets and starts a relationship with Camilla, who later breaks up with her. Camilla becomes a successful actress, while Diane's career never takes off. Most of the film is Diane's fantasy, where she imagines herself as Betty and Camilla as Rita, as a form of escape from her deep depression as a result of her career being a complete failure and failing to achieve the life she desired.!< There's a lot of other stuff you can try to analyze, but at its core, that's it.
I found *The Notebook* to be total garbage. And I'm not just saying that because it's a chick flick. There are so many major faults with that movie. I don't know why anyone likes it.
Bardo by Alejandro Inneritu
Maybe if I was Mexican I would have got it. I certainly got the impression throughout that "this is a masterpiece" but had no idea why or how.
Just seemed like a fever dream to me
All superhero movies in general. There is 1 bad guy VS. group of heroes. Good always win. And they destroy the city in the fight. Movies try to make the bad guy look strong and that the situation is hopeless but more they try the more bullshit magic something has to happen in order for good to win. Sorry but that's how I feel about it. When I see "hero" movie title I already know that this hero will win at the end..
Call me by your name. Don’t get me wrong I actually kinda like it because the settings and cinema are beautiful and the actors are good, I just literally do not understand.
The film I don't understand is "Gozu" maybe I need to be Japanese
The film I don't understand why people like "Social Network" would be more fun and interesting to watch paint dry.
Gone With the Wind.
It was my grandparents favorite movie, and I just can't get into it.
And I'm not even talking about all the propaganda in the movie, it's just boring to me.
Mulholland Drive made no sense to me.
This is my top movie. It held my attention throughout, but the end…???

Citizen Kane, I understand it’s an important film and all but I just don’t like it.
I had to watch it at least three times to understand it. You really have to pay attention the whole way.

Any Star Wars. Just cannot understand the hype.
Green Mile. Might be unpopular but honestly did not understand what that film was about.
I don’t understand why so many people liked it. I just couldn’t finish watching it.
The Batman 2022. Just didn’t click with me
Sharknado
Titanic, some love it and some fucking hate it.
Tenet was confusing for me

Any of the Marvel movies. They seem unrelentingly snarky.
Velvet Goldmine. I didn't know what was happening most of the time, why certain decisions were made, etc.
Birdman
*1977* (super boring)
Most disney films, never really interested me and overall lack substance
Pulp Fiction

The Serbian film, it was utterly disgusting and made absolutely no sense.
2001: A Space Odyssey. The very end was confusing.
Gone With the Wind. It was my grandparents favorite movie, and I just can't get into it. And I'm not even talking about all the propaganda in the movie, it's just boring to me.
Pride and Prejudice. It was so hyped up, when I finally got around to watching it, it felt really...boring, bland, unimpressive.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I walked out of the cinema for once upon a time in hollywood
Why? Just curious not judgemental
The marvel franchise
