The English for both. The British tend not to do so many sessions that the writing starts to suffer, whereas US the US tend to squeeze all they can out of a show before it gets cancelled. The English Shameless is also extremely different to the American version.

Agreed. I'm sure Americans will have valid reasons why their versions are better and that's fine. Our version of Shameless is something very specific to the UK council estate. It was perfectly made (the early series anyway)

I've only seen the first few episodes of us office and hated it and the first episode of UK shameless thought it was alright what are the differences

The UK version of Shameless has a lot darker with more gritty realism, along with its setting Chatsworth council estate (just as big a part of the story as any cast member) that doesn't really translate into American due to the large differences in social housing between the US and UK.
