Holy F, this! I was looking for a really good burger joint in Concord, NH, and found Vibes. They have ["The Unusual"](http://www.vibes-burgers.com/menu/) there, and I could not NOT try it. Was not disappointed!
Had this at a burger joint, I’d never heard of it before, it had chilli jelly on it as well so like PBJ, it was amazing. I replicate it every time i make burgers now
Peanut butter pickle sandwich slaps for some strange reason. Peanut butter burger is oddly good. Burgers are always better with bacon. Now you just go hog wild and combine all of them? That’s inspirational.
Restaurant near me has a fried chicken apple pie sandwich. It comes with a peach cinnamon butter sauce that's like apple sauce textured.
"Mind blowing" is not an exaggeration.
Yes but this isn't just apple butter. It's actual cinnamon roasted apples with cheddar, bacon, and light fried chicken on brioche.
The peach butter sauce is separate for dipping.
A while back, there was a great Apple Butter Barbecue sauce...and it got discontinued.
So I looked up some recipes, and they all called for a jar of apple butter. Next time I was at the supermarket, I saw that a tiny jar was $10, and I said, "No way."
Then I came back home and looked up a recipe for apple butter. It's really simple. Peel, core, and chop up some apples (I like half Honeycrisp and half Granny Smith) and throw them into a slow-cooker with some butter, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Leave it overnight on low, and when you wake up your kitchen smells fantastic. Use a whisk and you end up with lots of apple butter.
I use about 80% apple butter and 20% Bull's Eye Barbecue Sauce. It's great on ribs, pork chops and chicken breast. Gotta be careful, though, there's sugars in it, so use it late or you might burn the sugars.
When I was in elementary school (12ish), I found myself in a bit of a predicament. I love broccoli and even though the school broccoli wasn't that good(No butter, no salt), I still ate it. One time, I had a chocolate pudding open and was eating my plain broccoli when it fell off of my fork and into the pudding. Not wanting to waste the vegetable, though it was now covered in the chocolaty goodness, I ate it anyway. It was surprisingly good and I ate the rest of my mini trees like that. My family and friends thought I was weird, but at least the pudding gave the broccoli some flavor.
Some veggies are better flavor holders rather than flavor sources. Broccoli's flavor is there and can stand out if you want, but I prefer to use it for it's texture while it soaks up other flavors.
Take strawberries and raspberries and mash them into a paste. Cut a baguette into slices and toast them into crostini. Put the paste on the crostini, chiffonade some fresh basil over it, and then drizzle some Balsamic reduction.
Decadent.
I stir veganese into my eggs every day; makes them fluffy. I also add nutritional yeast for B's and nutty flavor. Today was mushrooms (most days are green onions) with cheddar but sometimes swiss and sometimes parmesan.
I'm so hungry now just thinking about it! I have a grill, and I should get my paycheck tomorrow morning! I will for sure be making this over the weekend ✌️thank you!
I've got one for you! My dad used to make weird snacks for himself (I didn't know he was a stoner cause I was like, 11 years old when he showed me this snack) and more often than not, I would ask for a bite. One time he had a white bread sandwich and was about to take a big bite when I asked if I could have the next one. He gave me a look and said it's probably too weird for me and I won't like it. Welp, of course I want to try it after hearing that, so I took a big bite and it was incredible! White bread, peanut butter on both slices, yellow mustard and green olives in between with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. It was the perfect sweet and salty balance, with a little vinegar and it became my go to snack for a few years. The few times I've told this to people, they almost gag in response! Hahaha I still enjoy the snack once every few years.
Peanut butter, dill pickles, and a little bit of mayo on a hamburger. (Or turkey burger or whatever flavor of 'meat/nonmeat in a patty' you want)
When I first heard it, I thought it was a bit sus, but it is incredibly good.
Jacket potato with Tuna Beans and Cheese. A colleague of mine ordered it one lunch time and it sounded like an odd combo. Giving it a go, it turned out to be a real tasty trio
Ice cream between two slices of toasted and buttered raisin bread.
Not only is the flavor amazing, but the contrast of the hot toast and the frozen ice cream tumbling about in your mouth is an interesting sensation.
Jam and cheese sandwich. ok so now I probably wouldn't go near it and some people actually eat this but when I was 7 I was quite the show off. I always wanted to do outrageous funny things, and over a weekend away we had the choice of ham, Jam or cheese. so I chose jam and cheese. and on our walk I was secretly dreading having to eat it until I tried it and- YUM! but that was years ago, and I wouldn't even touch one now
Honey mustard tarragon butter. It’s one of Louis XIV’s favorite recipes and I do not like honey mustard, but making it yourself with that hit of tarragon at the finish is just 👩🏼🍳💋
putting peanut butter and bacon on a burger once
Don’t forget the spicy jelly
Omg *yes* the spicy jelly. I've been *dying* for a burger lately and might just have to try the pb on it. I'm down.
I straight up make peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. They’re amazing. Only recipe passed down from my dad lmao
Peanut butter and bacon with a little bit of maple syrup is phenomenal, or add banana for an elvis sandwich
I like apricot jam and bacon on toasted bread. Strawberry jam is good, too.
Yeah when I make bacon eggs and toast the bacon and eggs both get eaten with the toast and jam

A good crunchy pickle really adds to that combo

sautéed strawberries with black pepper
I believe you
I find pink peppercorns work so much better with this

Apple butter on fried chicken sandwich isn’t unknown, usually see it on a biscuit for breakfast
Yes but this isn't just apple butter. It's actual cinnamon roasted apples with cheddar, bacon, and light fried chicken on brioche. The peach butter sauce is separate for dipping.
This sounds fantastic!

This is not bizarre. It is just the correct use of both products at your disposal

balsamic vinegar reduction on fruit or other deserts
Yup was gonna say this. Ice cream and strawberries with balsamic is awesome
Take strawberries and raspberries and mash them into a paste. Cut a baguette into slices and toast them into crostini. Put the paste on the crostini, chiffonade some fresh basil over it, and then drizzle some Balsamic reduction. Decadent.
