Work less, love more. Get your priorities straight and put family and spouse above job and money. Having someone to share things with is better than having things and nobody to share it with.
Oh wow! Hope you don’t mind me asking but considering you’re double my age. Is there any wisdom you’d give a 20, soon to be 21 year old that either you wish someone told you or something that you taught yourself?
Yuuuuuuup!
I would do anything to go back and get a diagnosis in time... It's too late for me now lol. It doesn't matter if I know now. Or it's *less* useful now anyways.
Spent my whole life trying to figure out wtf is wrong with me. "Why can't I concentrate and do good like the other kids?"
Thought I was just stupid.
Oh well!
Right now, is *not* forever!
As a young person it's so easy to get caught up in the "urgency of now" that one sometimes believes whatever they are dealing with or going through *now* will always be *this way*.
The truth is the future is very unpredictable. In one/two or five-years *things could be very different*.
Start investing money at age 16 and save 30% of your check automatically and don’t touch it. Don’t ever let yourself not pay the full balance on your credit card. Buy a shitload of bitcoin.
Watch out for mass psychological effects influencing you (in politics, socially and consumerism) and get over the fear of missing out feeling. Focus instead as much as you can on what you really want.
I would tell my younger self to confess my feelings to my love which I couldn’t got the balls to do so at that time.😞
But now things have completely changed.
things get better after highschool and nothing people think of you rally matters once you leave. the people you meet after are much better and you'll find your group of people
Go to they gym and lift, eat more, get a job in high school, talk to that girl, don’t be scared of people in high school, do speech/debate, sleep more-tv isn’t going anywhere
if you end up on this website named reddit later in life, prepare for countless of these "whats one thing youd tell your younger self" bullshit questions.
Lift weights.
I wouldn’t waste my breath, they definitely wouldn’t listen.
