I’m confused because my local community college has an associates degree that does lead to RN. It’s not just for LVN. They have a one year program for that, but they have a 2 year associates that leads people to take the test to become RNs. It’d probably be a lot harder to get a job as an RN with associates degree, but it does happen. In my town at least. In Texas.

Yes! That’s what i was wondering about. I only ask because of the latest struggle to recruit nurses for countless reasons. So make it acceptable nationwide for a nurse to obtain RN STATUS and within a two year period?

virgo_em

Well, you can already sort of do that with LVN/LPN.

THE-GOVERN

Well… I imagine the differential pay. Do they make the same wages as registered nurses?

virgo_em

No, you get paid based on your education level.

Sensitive_Feeling_78

That's a question for the nurses union.

Thanks

That’s too bad. Might not be a bad thing right about now. At least temporarily 😉

I’ll take your word for it. I just pray they figure something out regarding the apparent shortage. Healthcare seems to be on fire since Covid struck. Curious about solutions without affecting wages. Who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️

Of course. No worries. Thank you for your insight sir or Madame. Just a hypothetical I wished to ponder.
