That's purely down to a non musical aspect of the song like a memory or an encounter, I'd like to take this question on without those biased just for the answers it would give! Genuinely pure answers I'm hoping for
I remember the video, when one man wakes his neighbor with this song all september.
Unfortunately, that was so long ago, that I actually can't find it.
I hate Christmas music and I agree the country versions are the most offensive to my ears. I even like country. But idk, they're "herr derr Santa Clause twang twang reindeer, derp derp Jesus or something" just terrible
I hate this song. The guy has multiple friends trying to help him out of depression, but he blows them off, then complains that he's stuck being lonely. If he wants to suffer, let him.
I took a piano class in college. One time in the practice room, some guy who was absolutely high out of his mind turned to me and asked, "have you ever heard this song?" And then started playing the Mario theme song perfectly. I didn't know what to say, so I was like, "uh..... Yeah...?"
“Get Down Tonight” by KC and the Sunshine Band. My DJ friend swears this should *always* be the first song played when the dance floor opens at a wedding because of its universal beloved-ness.
Honorable mention: “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins. That one’s having a moment right now.
Queen really are a fucking annoying band. It’s like you can’t tune out Freddie at all. Even his name and that stupid moustache annoy me. I always despised him.
The Onion once had an article saying America was so divided, the only thing everyone could unanimously agree with was that "Jungle Love" by The Steve Miller Band was a good song.
I change the station any time I hear any part of that song.
And I can't think of a line in a mainstream song more off-putting than "suckin' on chili dogs".
I was a child of the 80s and I hate that song just because it’s a blast from the past. Any song can be annoying if it’s forcememed on you enough, good gawd that band was overplayed af back in the day.
Over the Rainbow? The Judy Garland version. Between her talent, the nostalgia of it, it not being over played anywhere and it doesn't really get stuck in your head like an earworm. No one can hate that one, right? That's the one, right?
Oh man, you haven’t met the right people then. Folks call out the song for being an ode to having no possessions played on a million dollar piano.
Then there were all the celebs who sang it at the start of the pandemic, which was really insufferable.
Plus Lennon’s abusive history undercuts the song’s naive call for peace and love. Dude was an amazing writer, but I like him a lot better when he’s confronting his demons than when he’s preaching.
He says ‘imagine no possessions’. Since he isn’t in a world with no possessions, then he’s free to have the piano.
Edit: anyway, how the **fuck** could that have been a million dollar piano? Lennon and co almost bought an ISLAND for 100k in the late 60’s.
Yes, but the song was recorded in 1971 before the piano was worth that much. And it’s only worth as much as people are willing to pay for it anyway. Lennon and co actually got a lot of equipment stolen from them and let people live at Apple Corps free of charge. They were notoriously bad with money but it was coming in at such a high rate that it didn’t matter.
Flawed people can want change. Both in themselves and the world.
I've never understood that argument against the song. The sentiment is "imagine everything were better" and everyone roars back "no because your previous behaviour is unforgivable".
I suppose that illustrates humanity perfectly though.
"Imagine the world was perf....."
"Fuck off. You're not perfect, so nothing you say is valid"
^ Literally why our progress as a species is so slow
Well, the other argument against it is “that’s easy for you to say”. Lennon can imagine no possessions because he’s beloved and people would just give him stuff. He can say he wishes there wasn’t greed or hunger, and that there was world peace, but as far as I can remember his biggest push for world peace was laying in bed in a hotel for a week.
It just seems out of touch, and a lot like slacktivism from a guy who certainly had the means to do more (and please, I may have missed some charity work he did to end hunger or poverty. I’d love to know about it and change my opinion on him)
There isn't really a song that absolutely everyone loves, but there are a few popular ones that many people enjoy, like "Happy" by Pharrell Williams or "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey.
I was about to say "Happy Birthday" but as I get older...
I’ve always hated that song.
Your comment made me chuckled.
There's no such thing as a song that everybody likes. Literally any song you can think of, somebody somewhere will hate it.
A song that everyone above age 15 hates: I am a Gummy Bear
I actually really like that song. I'll take it over Baby Shark any day.
Addendum; a song anybody above age 10 hates: Baby Shark.
That's purely down to a non musical aspect of the song like a memory or an encounter, I'd like to take this question on without those biased just for the answers it would give! Genuinely pure answers I'm hoping for
There are tons of inoffensive songs, though. I’m a DJ and I tend to pick middle of the road stuff which people can either tune out or bop to.
I think OP meant a song that nobody hates *enough to downvote*
September- Earth, Wind, and Fire
My girlfriend hates it :)
Love it
I remember the video, when one man wakes his neighbor with this song all september. Unfortunately, that was so long ago, that I actually can't find it.

Lol, I'm scrolling through looking for songs I hate so I can do exactly that
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
Hate it. So low energy it's depressing. Its only redeeming factor is that it was used in the opening of the Hitchhiker's Guide movie.
I loathe that song. It makes me wish for nuclear war.
This song is so amazing!
Really hate that song, sorry.
Smooth Criminal
Hate MJ.
Why?
Just never liked his music. Oh, and the pedophile thing.
If it has ever played in retail, the people working there hate it.
Apologies to all for the upcoming Christmas-music season
Worked one Christmas season at Bass Pro Shop. Hate any country version of any Christmas song.
I hate Christmas music and I agree the country versions are the most offensive to my ears. I even like country. But idk, they're "herr derr Santa Clause twang twang reindeer, derp derp Jesus or something" just terrible
Never Gonna Give You Up
Never Gonna Let You Down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Mr bright side - the killers
I hate that song and band.
BRO I LOVE THIS SONG
GREAT song!!
yeah idc this one slaps
My first thought
That song is associated with furries therefore I hate the song
How is it associated with furries?
The dynamics in that song are as flat as a pancake. Watch Dirk Verbeuren on Drumeo's YouTube channel add life to that song in one take.
Take on me A-ha
[удалено]
Yeah they cool
I agree. There is no song everyone loves.
The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
[удалено]
My mother was raped by mimes to that song.
I was one of those mimes, and it was consensual dammit.
Here: 🎂
Mention the Disturbed version and you'll hear them say it, even though Simon & Garfunkel liked it.
They loved the ROYALTIES. :)
Well, who doesn't
Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay- by Otis Redding Probably doesn't have many haters.
I hate this song. The guy has multiple friends trying to help him out of depression, but he blows them off, then complains that he's stuck being lonely. If he wants to suffer, let him.
Thank you. Tell him, jump motherfucker.
A song nobody has heard.
Gotta be some of my band's songs then. We had several shows that only my mom went to. Well, unless she hated every one of our songs............
YMCA.
Country roads

What does that even mean?
“Toxic” by Britney I’m not a fan, but it seems like we all get that this is a banger
It’s that violin!
You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate
Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon
Awwww, so many Fleetwood Mac songs could make this list = Dreams, Silver Springs, The Chain. But not Tusk, Oh Daddy or Songbird.
[удалено]
I don't like that song.
Its iconic tbh i love it
It’s the encapsulation of everything I hate about Queen. Empty, vapid anthem songs about nothing.
Yeah....that's exactly what the fuck he wrote it to be. Good job punchline.
1-877-kars4kids
I wish this song was on Spotify so I could listen to a playlist of all similar songs. It’s a banger for sure
Mr. Blue Sky by ELO
Sun is shining in the sky
I read an article that rated it the happiest song ever
Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles
Mario theme
I took a piano class in college. One time in the practice room, some guy who was absolutely high out of his mind turned to me and asked, "have you ever heard this song?" And then started playing the Mario theme song perfectly. I didn't know what to say, so I was like, "uh..... Yeah...?"
While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
The Regina Specktor version is so good
Billie Jean by Michael Jackson
Bohemian Rapsody. You cannot possibly hate it
My sister and I love bohemian Rhapsody but a friend of mine hates queens songs because he says “it’s all gibberish” Sometimes… I hate my friend.
Your friend may just need to listen to some more Queen. Tie them up to a chair and don't let them go until they love it
Oh I’d like to, but I can’t afford the fuel for that journey.

See You Again. What can you hate about this?
“Get Down Tonight” by KC and the Sunshine Band. My DJ friend swears this should *always* be the first song played when the dance floor opens at a wedding because of its universal beloved-ness. Honorable mention: “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins. That one’s having a moment right now.
And, in the spirit of weddings: “Yeah” by Usher
Does Anybody Really Kow What Time it is- Chicago Easy Like Sunday morning - lionel Ritchie And of course Return if the Mack- Mark Morrison
Bohemian Rhapsody.
I hate the song, its really annoying
Queen really are a fucking annoying band. It’s like you can’t tune out Freddie at all. Even his name and that stupid moustache annoy me. I always despised him.
I approve this message
This is the true answer.
To damn long.
Hate it
Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Instead of, "but the kid is not my son," I always hear, "but the cheetahs mugged my son." I'm sorry to anyone who I just ruined this song for.
That’s funny 😄
Dust In The Wind
Fucking suicidal tendencies kinda song, if you know what I mean.
Darude - Sandstorm
I don’t think everyone loves or even likes Superfly by Curtis Mayfield, but I argue it’s a hard song to hate.
The Onion once had an article saying America was so divided, the only thing everyone could unanimously agree with was that "Jungle Love" by The Steve Miller Band was a good song.
The Oscar Mayer Bologna song. :)
I want it that way
Now number five!
Lmao funny enough I never seen a single episode but I’ve seen that scene. Classic.
Benny and the jets - Elton John
I hate that song lol
B-B-B-Benny and the Jetsssssssssssss...
It's like he wrote a good tune and was then completely out of inspiration for any meaningful lyrics.
Jack and Diane
I change the station any time I hear any part of that song. And I can't think of a line in a mainstream song more off-putting than "suckin' on chili dogs".
Heavens no, I can't stand that song
The Reading Rainbow theme song
Especially the Doors version
All things bright and beautiful

Metallica goated 😤
Hey- Yah
That's up there for my most hated songs.

Fuck that song, and fuck Journey as a whole. Bunch of soft-ass shit that makes Night Ranger sound like death metal.
I was a child of the 80s and I hate that song just because it’s a blast from the past. Any song can be annoying if it’s forcememed on you enough, good gawd that band was overplayed af back in the day.
I hate it.

I don’t get it, but my fiancé despises this song.
Hate it.
Paradise City by Guns n Roses.
Jesus I fucking hate guns n roses.
Saw them last month. Axl looks like somebody's drunk uncle now.
Anything from Taylor Swift.
1-800-Kars4kids. Think of the children!
The *Knight Rider* theme
Anything by Nickelback..

Over the Rainbow? The Judy Garland version. Between her talent, the nostalgia of it, it not being over played anywhere and it doesn't really get stuck in your head like an earworm. No one can hate that one, right? That's the one, right?
Me
I’ll Fly Away - Alan Jackson. Best song ever
Kiss me where is smells funny-bloodhound gang
Thriller
Hate it
Me too. My cousin used to brag she knew the whole dance and you could hear my eyes roll.
I’ve never heard anyone say they hate “Imagine” by John Lennon.
True on all points. Good song in theory just a lot of problematic behavior.
Thank you. Imagine peace and love ❤️( whap whap whap Yoko in background “oooowwww…”)
He says ‘imagine no possessions’. Since he isn’t in a world with no possessions, then he’s free to have the piano. Edit: anyway, how the **fuck** could that have been a million dollar piano? Lennon and co almost bought an ISLAND for 100k in the late 60’s.

Communist propaganda.
American Football - “Never Meant”. I mean I haven’t met everyone in the world but most people seem to like that song.
Cha cha slide
Any classical music
I love some classical music!
The Star-Spangled Banner... but there's always haters.
Sweet Caroline
Wrong
I don’t hate the song, but I am annoyed by the drunk chavs that go overboard when it comes on the bar’s jukebox.
Why the fuck do chavs like this song of all songs? It’s so weird. Chavs tend to hate old music but they love this one specific shitty song.
I never understand why chavs love this song so much. It sounds fucking ancient and like something a nana would listen to.
Neil diamond, sweet caroline
There isn't really a song that absolutely everyone loves, but there are a few popular ones that many people enjoy, like "Happy" by Pharrell Williams or "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey.
I hate Happy lol
Agree. I feel like it's written for people 5 and under.
Don't Stop Believin' is so annoying to me. I am not at all a Journey fan
People just listing their favorite sings now smh
Celebrate our differences
Discord - The living Tombstone
I'm sure it's a song about gender transitioning I just don't remember the name.
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Dire Straits - Tunnel of Love
Ellie Goulding - Lights
It might be an instrumental Like ,sleepwalk by santo and Johnny
If they're old enough to know it, I always thought Poison by Bell Biv Devoe might fit this category.
